My partner and I are considering to legally sue the Ramada at National city for the following reason 1) we landed to San Diego at night, later than the original flight schedule. And we call the hotel to inform of our delays/arrival. The hotel phone was broken so they could not answer our calls so we were worried to reach the hotel without assurances our room could be ready and available. When we arrived at the hotel the greeting was weird as they informed us they could not provide and food, nor breakfast. However the concierge granted us two bottles of water (thank you for your kindness, although little compared to the disaster of your hotel lack of full service) 2) dirty towels, dirty bedroom linen (the latter see picture attached) 3) dirty floor 4) noise from neighbouring rooms/guests, and from the streets (one weekly night the hotel arranged a somewhat party, we saw a lot of drinkers weirdos. We alwere awoken in the night by somebody pulling the fire security drill alert. All of us including all hotel guest had to leave the hotel room, wait for the fire department to arrive and check of we could go back to our rooms, which it happened 30 ISH minutes later at fool night - I had to wake up early for work, could not sleep any more) 5) lack of tools in the room (coffee machine, soap, shampoo and beyond) 6)too much noise. The staff did what they could to move us from the noisiest room to a quieter one, but this did not solve the following issue of the live music. Last night of our stay the hotel manager arranged a rock live concert in a side area of the lobby. I was woken up by the noise although I trusted the manager as she told me the noise would never reach the eighth floor (our room floor). 7) all the staff have been somewhat kind, proactive and trying to do their best, to cope with the defects of the hotel structure, the lack of training they definitely need, and her arrogant hotel manager. We will write you her name as soon as possible. And hopefully we will write to you that the top management of Ramada USA will take care of this drama experience, but hopefully refund the right amount of the payment (about 200$/night), trading the employee (they are nice, they deserve a chance to learn and work), but hopefully replacing the only responsible of this bad experience, the Ramada national city hotel manager. I am not including the Ramada California's/area top managers as I want to see how they will handle this from now on.

Horrendous customer service. ROSS STIBOR was the most capricious, insolent, unprofessional manager I have ever met in my life. I'm shocked he is employed at all. His condescending, patronizing manner of dealing with customers was the perfect example of how NOT to deal with conflict. We arrived at 10:30 PM, exhausted and ready to collapse and he told us our reservation was canceled. He said the third party we booked it through canceled our reservation but that was a complete LIE because we never got any email, text, or ANY notification from the hotel OR the third party that the room was canceled. I asked for proof that it was canceled, and he refused to provide it for me. He gave me the name of the third party that supposedly "canceled" our reservation (abreu tours) but a quick google search revealed that it DOESN'T EXIST. Besides, we booked through traveluro and never got a text or email from them saying it was canceled. I asked ROSS STIBOR for any proof whatsoever that the third party canceled our reservation and he said " thats not possible because it's interfaced." He wasn't able to explain what that meant, and he constantly interrupted, raised his voice, insulted our intelligence and talked down to us. It was a horrific way to treat paying customers. Throughout the whole encounter, he never once apologized or acted even slightly sorry that our room got canceled without a single notification. He just said "sorry there's no rooms available." And then, continued to insult me when I tried to get proof of cancelation. Question: why would a manager refuse a customer proof of cancellation if it's not the hotels fault? Long story short: ROSS STIBOR should be fired immediately for lack of professional courtesy to customers, failure to resolve customer complaints, and condescending, rude and disrespectful treatment of paying customers. He is a disgrace to the hospitality industry and I truly feel sorry for anyone who has the displeasure of coming in contact with this horrible man. Wyndham, do better.

⚠️⚠️⚠️Worst experience in my life!! We reserved with weeks in advance a room with bay view. On our way there from utah our car broke down so we called to let them know we were late. When we got there at 1am. They gave us a room with parking lot view and told me sorry we don’t have anymore rooms with view. I was nice and tired and said ok. We will stay on 212 Please give us the room we reserved tomorrow. She said come at 9am we will do that. Next day I was there at 9 am she said don’t worry at 2 we will have your room. We told her we were going to the beach we will be back at 5 ish. She (Nikki) said that perfect don’t worry you will have your room we apologize bla bla bla. We came back at 5.30 directly to lobby and the nicest receptionist told us Nikki didn’t do anything and they didn’t have anymore rooms with view just 1 with 1 king bed on room 901. We asked to talk to the manager Ross was his name, he was super rude and said Idk, I don’t want to deal with this right now!!! WHAAAAT?? Hi is the manager!!! The nice receptionist apologized on his behalf and said they had a lot of problems that day. I understand but idc u know. Anyways she gave us the room cards for the 1 king size bed for me my husband and my 17 y/o niece. Obviously it wasn’t enough for 3. Nope, then She said let me see if we have folding beds. They gave us room 901 and a folding bed that no body could slept in, the springs were super uncomfortable!! Also the AC DOES NOT WORK!!! we slept all in the same bed with the window open. WORST HOTEL EVER!! DO NOT STAY THERE. ⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️⚠️

DO NOT STAY HERE & HERE’s WHY!! I stayed this past week, and let me tell you if you care even a bit about yourself. You deserve way better. The lobby is a complete catfish of the rest of the hotel. From creeky elevators to out of order A/C’s it’s a nightmare here. Me and my pregnant fiancé stayed here for spring break and we’re pleased with the lobby’s tidiness but later faced problems shortly after arrival. We were told that A/Cs we’re out of order and would be fixed within the week but that was a lie since it wasn’t fixed even when we checked out. My pregnant fiancé suffered from heat related headaches since it reach a hot 87 degrees one of those days and made it a warm night for her without A/C. In our room, we clean as a sanitary precaution but it was filthy with dust in multiple places that haven’t seen a cleaning in a while. The walls were extremely thin being able to hear your neighbor through the connecting door which had a gap at the bottom as well as your entry door. Our level of privacy seemed very minor in our private bedroom. Speaking of privacy, one of the housekeeping ladies peeked into our window in the middle of the day as we relaxed with our window screen wide open making us extremely uncomfortable. The housekeeping also gave us a fresh set of towels as we requested and received some with stains on them. In our bathroom, the shower head barely had any pressure to clean ourselves off. With our stay we get complementary breakfast every morning of your stay but don’t even bother. Even thought it’s free, they should be paying me to eat there “food.” I know it’s free and Beggars shouldn’t be choosers but it’s horrendous. We got two separate meals which come with little to nothing on them. Eggs, bacon and potatoes meal was terrible. Rubbery undercooked bacon, bland eggs and mediocre potatoes. Pancake meal ONLY came with pancakes and choice of strawberries OR bananas. We chose strawberries and it was awful and bready. They come with 1 drink each from choice of OJ, Apple Juice, Coffee, or Milk. We had one of each except the milk. Coffee is water, Apple Juice tasted like I put a straw in an apple with a water filter. But the OJ… it was not pleasant. It’s was orange pulp with a side of juice. It had so much pulp in it without warning. If you’re thinking about free breakfast, forget about it. Budget for eating out, trust me it’s worth it, there’s fast food down the street for cheap and 100 times better. Overall, worst hotel stay of my life and I’ve stayed in a better Motel 6 than this place. This a nitpick but all of their equipment in the room such as TV and phone weren’t even the correct room numbers correlated with them. This hotel shouldn’t be running at all. There’s no care for the clientele for how dirty the room and grotesque the food was. They just want your money and hang...

Came to this hotel for a stay to visit my son in the Navy. The hotel stay was ok just the lady at the front desk Dora is something to think about. I spoke with management the night before my check out to extend my stay. There was a conflict with the app booking a stay for the same day as check out...All of this was taken care of the night before a I was informed all I had to do is come down and pay for the room before check out at 11. I showed up at 9am to pay the money. I was greeted by Dora the front desk employee. When I went to pay she told me I need to pay another fee which was worked out last night. I explained I spoke to management and it should be noted there. The notes were there then I tried to explain I need more than 2 days, but Dora felt she could answer my questions before I could ask. And when she did it was oh so passive and nasty. I was so shocked by her response and the way she represented the company..I took a step back and walked away to collect myself and definitely not give the privilege to them to call the police for nothing. I came back and asked for the manager. When he started talking to me I started to share my experience, then Dora decide to huff and puff in the background and make all kinds of noises trying to disagree. Then Ross the manager at the time tells the front desk employee to charge me $50 instead of the $250...Then Dora the employee not that Manager runs over and yells No. Charge him $250. What!?? Who's the manager... After awhile I spoke with Ross the manager outside when he was smoking a cigarette. Seemed like we came to a good understanding and he assured me that he will take care of it..I took his word for it. I went back in to pay for the room and what do you know. Nothing has changed. Ross sent another employee to help me who claimed that Ross just explained what to do and he knew the situation. But he did exactly the opposite. Dora then got up and smiled as to say things works the way she wants no matter what management says..oh? Then why have a manager...At the end of the day I couldn't bare giving a nickel to this place...I simply checked out....I ask to speak with Ross again but now he's on the phone for 8 hrs so he say...Ross blew me off. And Dora was trying to put on a front as if the whole staff needs her and her customer service is Good. It's not about what you want to be seen in your daily practice. It's how you handle the situation when it comes up. And this situation was handled extremely poorly. Thank God for the employees who care about service Good Job Marjory you should definitely be running the...

This place is definitely 2 stars. We stayed here 3 nights & luckily it did its job as in a place to sleep but that’s about it. My cousin is the one that got the deal through Groupon & honestly spend a little extra to go somewhere else. There were cockroaches in our bathroom, one was on top of the bed (baby ones). Old rusted bathtubs. The remote for the tv didn’t even work you could hardly click on the numbers or channel at all. The area in itself is not walkable maybe during the day but definitely not at night. There were several hookers outside the hotel at night that we saw working. The Groupon stated “complimentary parking” but then u end up having to pay $16/a night & honestly it’s not even worth it because it’s not gated. Anyone can drive in and park or take ur car. If you’re paying for parking you want to at least know your car is safe & gated. The hotel itself promotes “free smoking hotel” but that’s not true. The minute you step in you can smell the foul smoke. The elevators were the worst with the smoke smell & they were so dirtyy. This place doesn’t have a “view”. The pictures on Groupon shows you a waterfront view this was not that. I can understand now why they are on Groupon not because it’s a good deal but because the hotel itself is lackluster & dirty. They need people to come in because no one in a sober headspace would want to stay there knowing not only you sleeping with the roaches but ur “comforter” has cigarette burns. Other then the dirty living the person that helped us to check in was a nice older lady with black glasses & she was kind & got us checked in right away. She had a smile to her face & made you feel welcomed. Now the other workers have a mean muggin face like they hate their life which honestly same but like when you work in hospitality no matter what you should at least smile at other guests & make them feel welcomed. The guy that works front desk the whole time we pass by or was next to us when heading to the elevator had that face on. When checking out the process was quick & this young worker helped us and was kind. I wish I got more pictures to really show how nasty this place was but we barely stayed there because we went out every night. We was there to sleep & get ready with head scarfs on us to keep the bugs away. If you stay here and want to sacrifice yourself bring your own blankets/ sheets, bug traps & most importantly shower shoes. You don’t want your feet on the bottom of those tubs I’m telling you...
