Update: I opened the app to review the restaurant, and found everything I wrote below...sitting there, Unposted.
And now it's June 2025, and everything, and I mean everything, is still fabulous. They did get their wine license, so all the better! For Jay's 61st birthday, we split the chefs special and had a lovely bottle of wine. Stephanie, our waiter, clearly was trained in a fine dining restaurant, as evidenced by her professional demeanor.
Imagine the finest Houston Italian dining establishment… Now, strip off the expensive wines and fancy ambience. Place it in Navasota, Texas, a lovely historic town that you MUST put on your day trip bucket list. That’s Joe’s Navasota.
It reminds us of BC fine dining (Before COVID): When the food was top notch. When the server boxed up your leftovers, approached the table with perfect timing, and the meals were reasonably priced.
The four of us had the lobster ravioli, Chicken Parmesan, Lasagna, Salmon Piccata, Fettuccine Alfredo, and Lobster Stuffed Mushrooms, house salads and Caesar salads, followed by the Tiramisu. Perfection!
Eric, our server, was fantastic.
They do not have a liquor license yet, so call ahead and check to see if you need to bring your own wine. There is currently no corkage fee, so please increase your tip.

Read moreI rarely review a restaurant. I simply MUST share with you that this restaurant serves absolutely delicious Italian fare - authentic Italian dishes that you'll remember for years to come. Whether you're in the mood for a classic dish like chicken marsala, mushroom crema, manicotti, spaghetti, alfredo, beef, seafood, or just pasta, you'll be amazed at the depth and flavor of every dish on the menu. They also serve the most delicious wings and their pizza is out of this world. Everything is available takeout, too. A lovely wine list and delectable desserts complete your dining experience in style. You'll be even more astonished at the prices - everything is affordable! (I'd offer only one caution - avoid the "house vinaigrette salad dressing", it's a cocktail sauce. Select the bleu cheese, ranch or balsamic dressing instead.) You'll be glad you selected...
Read moreThe place smelled just right upon entry. The server was gracious and informative about the menu. It's always nice when they can have an opinion to help steer you to just the right selection for you off the menu. Overall rating 9/10 for chicken parm, lasagna, fettuccine alfredo combo. Lasagna lacked the traditional layer of noodles but not a detriment resulting in a high meat to pasta ratio. Chicken Parm a little salty but not overly so. Tender chicken and surprisingly good red sauce. The Alfredo perfect. Great, huge, hot, oversized garlic glazed, rolls with real butter. Loved the red and white checkered table cloths, Italian music on the radio, the service and the food. Can't wait to further explore the menu. Worth the drive there any night. Sorry I dug right in and...
