Well ladies, I wish I had went here to begin with. My journey first started in Houston with my moms in tow. I am very happy that I brought my moms along for the experience and they pointed out that a more fitted dress looked more flattering on me. Hint take lots of pictures to see how the dress will photograph. In person and photos are two different things. I walked out of one place in River Oaks with a dress in hand that was beautiful but wasn't what I had in mind. It was a very high end boutique and a very pushy sales person there. I had no time to think. That being said, I was able to work out a deal with them a few days later and return the dress after waking up every night at 3am wondering if I had made the right decision. Haha obviously was not the dress for me. I went to Love and Lace in Navasota and it was such an amazing experience. (Hint to other Brides, do not go to any shop on a Saturday if you get overwhelmed easily. And it can be a whirlwind experience.) Go on a quiet day in the morning. Alexis was so sweet and helpful Friday morning! She let me try on a number of dresses and we were able to narrow down to top three. She took photos of me in every dress so that I could review later. When I left I thought I liked one dress so I went to the cute Rock & Roll Cafe across the street which has delicious food, coffee and shakes and was able to think on it. I went back to the store later on and got a price on the other dress that I liked and ended up buying the other dress. (Hint, go think on it and shop around Navasota.) Your whole group will love the experience of Downtown Navasota Shopping! I wish I brought my moms here instead because of the easy parking, walking and shopping galore! Once I bought the dress, Alexis was so helpful to give me info on alterations in College Station and I left with a bottle of Champagne from Rail & Rye! If you keep getting ads for Lillian West, this place carries that designer and that's what brought me here. I highly recommend checking this place out! They are too kind and not pushy at all and that's what I love about them! I can't wait to share the photos with the L&L Bridal team in June 2024! Thank you Alexis for being so awesome and creating a pleasant experience! I...
Read moreI walked into this small local wedding dress shop while Navasota was having a wedding event. My fiancé was with my mom and I since I did not plan to go dress shopping. That being said, as I was walking around the store I found one dress that jumped out at me. It was the perfect cut and I loved the type of lace. My mom and I fell in love with it so my mom asked if I could try it on. (There was only one appointment in and they can accommodate 2 so we felt comfortable asking to try on one dress very quickly). They let my mom know that they are only by appointment right now, my mom responded letting them know that we understand but, also let them know that I am from Dallas and likely would not be able to make the trip back to try on. Regardless of these factors, we were turned away. We decided to continue to walk around and enjoy the wedding walk but, I turned back to my mom and decided that I needed to at least know the designer’s name since I was so in love with the lace and style. By the time we got back to the store it was around 4:30 when they close at 6 and we immediately went back to the same dress just to see if we could find the designer. The same girl from before greeted us but she went into the back. After a few moments who I assumed to be the store manager, Alexis, came out to speak with me. We asked about the dress and she proceeded to let me know that this designer is exclusive to their store and maybe one other near houston (she mentioned after I said i was from Dallas and did not come this way often). She insisted that she thought a trip down later with an appointment would really be worth while since I liked the dress. Please keep in mind that this store was empty at this point and I only wanted to try on the one dress. On a side note… the dress was actually exactly my size which just made it feel all the more meant to be… so to top this story off… they have appointments available tomorrow! I only realized this myself to see if they were super busy and booked out online.. as a manager of the store I would surely hope she would have thought to mention that i could return tomorrow since tomorrow would be Sunday and she knew I was in the area from...
Read moreVery disappointed that they were unwilling to let my fiancé try on a dress today during the Navasota Wedding Walk.
Navasota was hosting their downtown open house where various wedding vendors were on display. My fiancé and I drove down from DFW to tour some wedding venues in the area with her mother and explore the wedding walk. She had no idea there was a bridal dress shop downtown and walked in to look around. She ended up finding a single dress that she really liked and asked to try it on (again, on a day when the entire downtown is having a wedding open house). The girls working there refused to help her because she didn’t have an appointment. When the store was EMPTY. They had at least two people working as well, if not three. There was one other group that had been the store earlier, so she and her mother decided to come back later after the group had left. When they went back to ask to try the dress on again, they were the only two in the store. When she explained she was in from out of town and really only wanted to try one dress on, they refused to give her the time of day. (Did I mention it’s a wedding open house, when you might expect walk-ins?) Just absolutely ridiculous that they couldn’t accommodate trying on one dress, especially for someone from out of town who would otherwise never have made an appointment to come to this store. We usually like supporting mom-and-pop shops, but obviously if you want any kind of service you’re better off driving into the city. We were there at 4:30 and the store closed at 6:00 - I wonder how many other appointments they had for the evening? They told her that “it would really be worthwhile making the trip back down from DFW for an appointment.” Well we really think it would be worthwhile to give any customer service - then maybe people would consider coming from...
