Unfortunately wasn't the best experience. The short story is not the best customer experience and the majority of the donuts we got were pretty dry and everyone we got them for mentioned that.
Now here's a long story. When me and my son arrived at the location they had a handwritten sign on the front door that said mobile orders only. The whole purpose of us going there was for my son to experience a donut shop and actually ordering his own donuts. So we ended up ordering donuts through the app and waited about 20 minutes before heading in to pick up our order. Once entering the building all three employees looked at us and shock and said they only take mobile orders before asking if we place the mobile order. I said yes, we have a mobile order under the name James and they proceeded to tell us they don't have any mobile orders. I then said had I do have an email confirmation and an app confirmation from Dunkin' donuts for my order. After saying that they looked on their computer and said oh we do have your order. So they ended up making my coffees from my order. As we said there waiting for the rest of our order. They went about their way and then asked us if we needed something else and I told them I'm waiting for the rest of my order. I was then advised that they don't have any additional order for me. So if I want something just go ahead and tell them because they don't have my receipt of what I ordered. Employee ended up looking around the counter and underneath the counter and found my order had been printed and put below the counter where nobody could see it therefore couldn't be filled. So , they put together the rest of my order and me my son we're on our way. So ultimately all I can say is I am so glad that there is a Casey's convenience store right across the street that has fresh donuts and coffee readily available . We end up going there and getting some additional donuts since Dunkin' was very limited and just a poor experience. Casey's employees were very friendly and helpful and made my sons donut shopping experience better. If you have a choice for where to go for donuts, I wouldn't choose here. There's a Casey's nearby and even Hy-Vee down the street. The only reason why I'm giving two stars is because one employee did try to help with the already bad situation at hand. So, Dunkin' donuts, thank you for having your location...
Read moreI ordered an iced americano and was given an iced latte. I knew immediately the drink was not my usual because half the glass was pure, white MILK. I am allergic to milk. I told the barista that the drink she was giving me looked like a latte, not an americano. She had the audacity to argue with me about it and asked me to try the drink to make sure. I took the tiniest sip — because I am allergic to milk, as I told her — and confirmed that this was definitely a latte, definitely with cow’s milk. She brought what I assume was a manager back, who also had the audacity to explain to what an americano is. I know what an americano is. I know what a latte is. I know what my regular drink should look and taste like. I told her this, and she begrudgingly took my drink back and made a new one. When she came back with my new drink, she asked me condescendingly if my drink “looked like the color I wanted this time.” Exasperated, I told her that I wasn’t concerned about the color but the ingredients, and that as long as there is no milk involved, I’m fine. Within one sip, I could tell the second drink was actually an americano this time — though I couldn’t even enjoy it, because I got so ill from Dunkin forcing me to consume dairy to “prove” that my drink was wrong.
I helped manage a coffee shop for years, and I cannot imagine acting so condescendingly toward the customers I had. I love Dunkin, but I definitely won’t go back...
Read moreI do not visit often, maybe 1-3 times a year max. With that said I have not memorized the donut menu, nor should I have to. The sign placement for the selection of donuts is poor decision making for the convenience of your customers, which I will assume you want a good experience for all of your customers, both new and returning. I briefly noticed this sign driving through and up to the order speaker. I didn’t think much of it as surely there will be another sign like it to be able to place my order with ease. Nope, there is not. There are a few donuts listed on the main board but not all of them. This made the ordering process extremely difficult and clearly irritating for the person taking my order. I did try to google the donut menu on my phone to place my order, which I should not have to do. When googling it I found many different pictures of Dunkin’ Donuts. So, this was not all that helpful. I did ask about the sign and why it’s places so far from where the order is placed, to which I got an irritated look and answer. This was just a completely frustrating and unpleasant experience. Yes, I did drive all the way back around to get this photo of your sign placement. Hopefully management can move the sign near the speaker to avoid more bad customer experiences so people with be happy and...
