Nederland Seafood House — Restaurant in Nederland

So me and my bff had looked forward to trying this place after seeing the ad and viewing pics on Facebook. We braved torrential rain for this experience. Anyway we get there and some customers were talking about how good it is a "best kept secret." So we order she gets grilled fish I order the 10 piece wings which they only had 8 so I sub for 2 chicken strips. An absolutely obnoxious lady comes in not sure if she's the owner or just the manager. So the food comes out my wings are completely overcooked but the sides were delicious so my friend tells them about it she comes to the table explaining it takes 20 minutes to cook chicken because it's on the bone. (NO IT DOES NOT) She offered tenders to replace it but pretty sure would've been the same issue as the 2 I had were overcooked as well. My bff's fish was overcooked too and the onions and bell pepper were burned. The food was bad but this arrogant lady was even worse what she didn't know is my friend has been in the food industry over 20 years while she was talking to us like we were stupid. The counter help were really nice and guy was funny but that bad apple spoiled the bunch she finally offers gift cards after my friend tells her how terrible it was and that she needs to learn the 10 points of customer service but there was no need because we definitely won't...

This used to be a great place. Tonight...I was more than upset. I decided to order delivery. No choice to replace 'fries'. OK, so I called immediately after I ordered to see if I could get a different side. The girl on the other end says "NO...they're already in the fryer."

I've been in the food industry and I get that, however "Let's help the customer" and good God...Fries??? give me a break!

NOPE!!!! So I call back and ask 'fine, could you throw in some extra tartar sauce?' NOPE!!! You'll have to pay extra through DoorDash!!! (Is this little girl trying me now?)

I got my delivery pretty quickly...fries were soggy (Definitley NOT in the fryer 10 minutes ago!)...I get 4 teeny shrimp on a $12 poboy...and like a nice little smack in the customer's face...one shrimp thrown in the box!!!

We live next to the sea...what tha???

Manager reaches out and says he'll deal with it.. This does NOT fix my dinner!!!

Ok, so this is like my second time coming back to this restaurant and I always get my food to go. The food is nice and crispy just like I ordered and the potato salad is so delicious. The Mac and cheese is definitely out of a box because that's kinda what it tastes like. You do get your money's worth as far as the quantity of food to receive for your money. I got them two piece of fish and five jumbo shrimp for $17.53. The reason why I gave them four stars it's because the Mac could use a little seasoning and so can the fish. I didn't get any eating utensils just like the last visit. I got the red bean and rice and I remember the red beans were good but the rice was a little hard.
