It was like any other Whataburger, but the employee working the drive thru window was rude. He wouldn't lean out the window any to get the money and he only would have had to lean out a couple inches. Instead I had to take off my seatbelt, open the door and step halfway out the door. There was a handful of nails against the building that I wasn't about to drive a set of brand new $1200 tires through. After paying he dropped the change in my hand. When he almost dropped my order, not ensuring I had a grip on it before dropping the bag and it was damn lucky I caught it. He didn't ask if I wanted any condiments, no napkins where in the bag. I had to drive around to the front and go in to get ketchup and napkins. When I asked for them he said they where in the bag, which they were not. He then made a very annoyed sound blowing air out between his teeth and got me 4 napkins and 2 Ketchup and tossed them on the counter very annoyed. I told him that if he would check that the order in the bag was correct it was a perfect time to add napkins and when he handed the order out if he would ask if the customer wanted any condiments they wouldn't be coming in to get what they wheren't offered at the window. And he had no right to be so annoyed and so rude and it was his lack of training and professionalism that was the cause of his annoyance. Read moreWe went through the drive thru. The young man that greeted us sounded as if he didn't want to be at work and it was our fault he was. The greeting g was more cold and lifeless than inviting. There was no hello or welcome to Neverland Whataburger, how may I help you?. Instead it was what can I get for you? We not advised as to which window to go to in order to pay for our order.
We received our order. We live less than 5 minutes from this store, so if the food were fresh and hot, I don't believe the temperature outside would have effected the food. What I mean is this, every.food item in the bag was cold and that includes a.double wrapped burger. The bun was hard and the meat.was cold. The chicken was cold and very hard crust, the fries were cold and too hard to attempt.to eat. We ended up tossing the whole order. It just feels as if quality has taken a back seat. To what, I don't know. It appears that from the start to the finish, this transaction was seriously derailed. There was no quality of service from the speaker.to the window, nor any where in between. One star.was being generous...
Read moreGood food but horrible wait times and a seemingly lack of common sense or decency among the employees. During this trip I ordered a small vanilla malted and two fried pies. The malted was delivered in minutes and I assumed my pies would be ready shortly as they usually need to be fried fresh which I don't mind waiting. Fifteen minutes later I finally received my pies after the employee who took my order came back from a break and realized I was still waiting. On a side note I received my food before another customer who had been waiting before I arrived! The common sense and decency issue I observed while waiting for my food was an employee who came to the front to take an order and was quickly complaining that she needed to visit the bathroom. After dancing around for several minutes she finally gave up and went to the bathroom. I understand if the company only provides employees breaks at certain intervals in their shift, but the employees should have enough common sense to decide when they should go to the restroom and the decency to not tell everyone around...
