Callie’s Creamery—this little gem on the Jersey Shore caught us completely off guard. Walking in with zero expectations, we were hit with a lineup of over 40 flavors that would make even the most seasoned ice cream aficionado do a double-take. It was like walking into the dessert version of the NBA Draft, where every flavor was a first-round pick, and we had to choose one draft pick. After much deliberation, we settled on Nutella Graham. Let me tell you, this ice cream didn’t just show up—it came to play. The Nutella base was so rich and intense, it was like Giannis in the paint—unstoppable. The silky texture just melted away effortlessly, and those crunchy graham cracker bits were the perfect assist to an already winning flavor. Additionally, we decided to try their cotton candy flavor in a small. The vibrant blue of the ice cream caught my eye, and the taste did not disappoint. The sprinkles added were a nice touch, both for the eye and in terms of texture. They provided a crunchy contrast to the smooth and creamy ice cream, making each bite more enjoyable. We asked for a small, thinking I’d keep it light. But even the small sizes were solid contenders. Callie’s doesn’t mess around when it comes to portion sizes—they give you serious value for your money, no question. Overall, Callie’s Creamery was an unexpected highlight of our trip. We’ll definitely be back to run the court with the other flavors. If you’re passing through the Jersey Shore and need a sweet break, this spot should be on your radar. It’s like finding that sleeper pick in the draft—an...
Read moreI noticed they were open and stopped in yesterday. I needed gift cards for a class graduation present. Luckily I timed it right and was the only customer for a few minutes. The two young ladies behind the counter were both very polite. One of them had to run 15 gift cards through which was quite tedious. However she was both efficient and friendly. The efficiency was key as other customers starting coming in and I didn't want to hold everyone up! Overall the short experience was so good I knew I had to come back to actually try the ice cream!
Later that evening I brought the family back. This time the place was very crowded. However they were well staffed and the line moved reasonably quickly. I should point out the business has only been open for about two weeks. You could tell a few of the employees were still learning but they all helped each other and the process was efficient.
Of course all of this wouldn't matter if the product was good but no worries there! My wife, two kids and I were all very happy with our sundaes. The ice cream was tasty and the toppings were all fresh. The inside was roomy and clean with plenty of tables available. There are also a few outdoor tables. They could probably use a few more of those if they have room.
All in all it was a very nice experience. I'm glad we have another local option for ice cream. Be patient with the staff these next few weeks but I'm sure they will have it all clicking nicely by the time the Summer heats up. My family will be...
Read moreDisappointing. My husband and daughter and I went for 1st time Sat night 830pm. I got soft serve small with a decent amount of ice cream. My daughter got small hard ice cream and husband got small cone (2 flavors hard ice cream) . My daughters small cup was 2x the size of my husband's cone. The girls scooping ability for a cone was severely lacking. The scoops were not full but almost slices folded over. It was melting as well and By the time she put the 2nd scoop on which was also lacking substance it was all melting. It was the size a baby would get. He or I should've refused it and I usually do. I'm a trained chef and used to serve ice cream as a teenager. My scoops had quality and presentation. If I ever go back My quality control will be on mark ready to go. The prices are good however and decor is adorable. One other comment would be to have the girls scooping the ice cream, leave their bracelets at home. Any jewelry really. This is the 2nd time other than Brunos in Freehold where their bracelets are hanging in the ice cream...
