Big 5 star review coming in. In summary: The food is incredible, affordable, and the environment is beyond welcoming. If any of the staff members are mean or rude to anyone, it’s because they’ve done something to genuinely deserve it, and the staff is just protecting the other customers. This place has a very short list of rules that help keep everyone safe and comfortable. Anyone who has an issue with the rules is being disrespectful towards everyone else in the building, and are absolutely in the wrong. The majority of other restaurants around here act like covid is over, and I endlessly appreciate Cats Luck’s mask requirement to keep everyone safe (especially with having the staff wear them while in the kitchen, which is 1,000,000 times harder than having to wear one for the 5 seconds it takes for customers to pick up their food). Even on the busiest Saturday, I’ve never waited more than 20 minutes for my food, and it’s always fresh and amazing (even when I hit traffic and take 40 minutes to get there). As someone who struggles with an ED, I’m also so very thankful that there is a no-diet-talk rule here. The last thing I want to worry about while trying to enjoy a meal is having to hear about someone’s latest unhealthy trend and it makes me 100 times more comfortable eating. Lastly, I am very appreciate of how affordable everything is here. Most vegan food is ridiculously expensive (for good reason I know, but it still sucks). If the prices at Cat’s Luck were based on how much effort Michelle and the staff put in, it wouldn’t be affordable for anyone, but luckily that isn’t the case. This is the ONLY vegan restaurant where I don’t have to blow my entirely weekly food budget on one lunch, which means I can come here twice as often and repair my relationship with food a little more each time. There is a bakery box on my kitchen counter at all times because I can also afford to get snacks on top of hot food. The prices are exactly on par with the non-vegan restaurants in the area, and I love not having to pay a premium for trying to eat more responsibly. I love this place more than anything and I am so happy to have them in the community. A vegan place that cares about its customers’ comfort and will endure bad reviews to keep them all safe and happy? I would live...

This quaint vegan cafe serves up delectable creative brunch and a wide assortment of cookies, cakes, and other desserts. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, and the staff is super nice.
Food Review: 3.5/5 stars
The egg and cheese on their house-made bagel is delicious, but the fully loaded tofu scramble breakfast platter is too salty to recommend. The desserts, on the other hand, are all excellent, especially the Phish food cookie.
Specific Dishes
Egg and cheese on house-made bagel: This dish is a classic for a reason. The house-made bagel is the bomb and the egg and cheese are flavorful and satisfying.
Fully loaded breakfast platter: This platter has everything you could want for a hearty vegan breakfast: tofu scramble, potato hash, biscuit with gravy, and kale salad. Unfortunately, the individual components were way too salty, making it almost inedible, except for the kale salad which was great.
Desserts 5/5 stars: The desserts are all excellent. The Phish food cookie is gooey chocolate marshmallow heaven, and the chocolate biscotti is delicious. All the other cookies and cakes look amazing and creative.
Service & Atmosphere
The staff at the cafe is super nice and helpful. They are always happy to answer questions and make recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, with a mix of seating options, including a few tables inside and picnic tables outside.
Overall
I would definitely recommend this cafe for a vegan brunch or dessert. Go for the sandwich or if you opt for the fully loaded breakfast platter, maybe ask for it to be made without extra salt.

I would definitely recommend this cafe for a vegan brunch or dessert. Just be sure to avoid the fully loaded breakfast platter, or ask for it to be made without extra salt. The cozy atmosphere and outdoor seating make it a great place to relax and enjoy a meal with...
Read moreI love this place! I am not personally vegan yet but am trying to make better choices and live more ethically. They are very welcoming of all types - vegan and non-vegan alike. They offer a really wide and varied selection of bakery items every day as well as a full breakfast and lunch menu. They are creative, innovative, and dedicated to listening to customer feedback, wants, and likes when planning specials and daily bakery offerings. They also have incredible coffee courtesy of Stead Hand Cafe located inside. The majority of negative reviews seem to address the staff and owner and after multiple visits during rushes and slower times I find these reviews to be entitled and unfair. People seem to have the idea that patronizing a restaurant, bakery, or small business gives them the right to demand whatever they want as quickly as they want. The customer is not always right. Small business owners and food services workers deserve to be treated with respect like the hard working human beings they are. Asking customers to wear a mask or refrain from talking about diet culture in a pickup and go atmosphere is not a big ask. You can call ahead and order to avoid waiting in the bakery when you order on the spot. This is a wonderful community spot looking to treat its employees and patrons as ethically as possible. It doesn't sit well with me to see people wanting food that doesn't harm animals while treating the humans who serve it as if they're beneath them. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself to something delicious and a coffee too. You...
