Shore Good Eats N Treats — Restaurant in Neptune City

The food here is good. Were I to rate the food alone, I'd give it 4 or 5 stars. I suggest ordering take-out to take advantage of this. I'd say it's slightly more expensive than other local diners, but not enough to matter. However, we wanted to sit down and enjoy a meal. When we entered, the TV was on. Normally I walk out if I hear a TV, but we were too hungry to search for another diner. Nobody was watching. After ordering and sitting there maybe 5 minutes, I asked the staff to turn off the infomercial (for some sort of hair treatment) that had been playing since we walked in. They "turned it off" by changing the station -- a slight improvement, but still nobody was watching. There were only two other tables occupied and AFAIK only one take-out order in all the time we were there. Still, my order came before my friend's much simpler order, and we didn't get water -- which we'd requested when ordering -- till we were almost finished, and I had to ask for it again when the staff finally came around to refill my coffee. My toast was dry, with no butter or jam provided. The staff was polite enough about everything, but service simply was deficient. What an incredible experience! I cannot rave enough about Stephen and the entire Shore Good Eats team. First of all their customer service is impeccable. We hired them to cater for our son's first birthday party. From the minute we contacted them to the delivery of our food, they were nothing but helpful, kind, professional, and accommodating. They answered all of our questions(and we had ALOT). Their prices are super reasonable and for the quality of their food and service we were blown away. Secondly! The food itself was delicious! Every single one of our guests raved about the food and we were delighted with the presentation, care, and tastiness. They arrived when they said they would and helped me set up the food tables. We ordered a mixture of their egg rolls, sandwiches, salads, and appetizers. Not only was it all eaten, but friends have continued asking who we hired from. I cannot recommend them enough for your next gathering. And of course, stop in for breakfast or lunch if you're in town. They make everything to order! First and for most, I order from here quiet often, I also understand that tresturaunts get busy. Special orders, catering, etc. but this time there was no customers in the store, the employee behind the desk. I walk into the neptune store and, 1 I do not get greeted, 2. The employee had to look at me and what I was wearing 3 times before even saying a word, and when he saw my hoodie the look on his face changed. My hoodie was a map of a country, asks me , “picking up or ordering?” And I said can I place an order and his response was “ youre gonna have to wait a while” I said to order? He said “yea its gonna take a while for your food, like 25-30 mins. Granted im ordering two breakfast sandwiches which never take that long. I said well can I still order? He goes “i told you its gonna be 25-30 mins” with an attitude. I am dosgusted at blatant racism I felt and very disappointed with what happened, yall just lost a customer.
