MM Home Service — Local services in Neptune City

One of the worse companies I have ever worked with or hired for any project. Michael Masotti is extremely unprofessional, and lied to us so we would pay him before the job was finished on the first day. They replaced a pipe that connects to our shower, and left the pipe protruding from the ceiling leaving a hole in the middle of our living room. Michael also told us they would not provide a guarantee for their work because it was left unfinished! Would never recommend this company even if you were desperate.

Michael Masotti (owner) may like to lie about how he handled this situation (because he had to show up himself unannounced at our residence), but I personally spoke with him multiple time after he yelled at and hung up on my elderly mother. Michael did not try to explain anything to either of us when we just wanted to talk with him. Mr. Masotti promised us he would come back to finish the job the very next day. My mother waited at home consecutive days, and Michael simply gave excuses why he couldn’t show up every time. We didn’t want him to do anything more than what we already paid him for, and Mr. Masotti could not even do that. He took advantage of my mother, and we are still waiting on any type paperwork or invoice detailing the “work” he did. With Memorial Day approaching I needed to open my pool for the first time since purchasing the home, and to my surprise I had no water on the exterior of the house. I called M&M Electric and they came out on short-notice and took care of the problem for me. The technician that came out was Will, and he got stuck a little longer on his first job of the day, I was the second visit, and the office called me and notified me that he would be delayed, and Will arrived exactly when he said he would after that. From the moment he arrived to when he left he was nothing short of professional, and attentive to our requests. He took the time to come talk to me about his approach to our problem and then to show me what he did afterwards to show that there were no leaks and everything was running smooth. When I asked him to do something that was not in the original scope of work, he didn't even hesitate in doing so, and it actually ended up causing him to be at this appointment for the rest of the day. More technicians came out to help when he needed and they were all great people, and kept working to solve our problems without ever giving us pause/hesitation that it couldn't be accomplished. My boyfriend and I needed a handful of repairs done to our Ocean Grove home that was built in 1902. Mike responded quickly and walked through the home to give us an itemized estimate of the repairs. This really helped us budget and prioritize what to have repaired first. On top of this he told us what to purchase at the hardware store. The plumber, handyman, electrician all came at the same day to do the repairs. The electrician went above and beyond to help me decide what side of the fan blades match the flooring better. Everyone at MM Home Service has been nothing but professional with exceptional service. All repairs were done in a timely fashion and finished in one day. At the fault of no one but himself, Rigatoni (our cat) escaped the house for a few hours. The MM Home Repair team were nice enough to help us look for him and even asked about him during the repairs. Our cat is now back at home and our house has never looked better. The best part was that the estimate was slightly higher than the actual bill.
