Read moreIf you’re looking for a place to ruin your day, this dirty, smoke-filled excuse of a restaurant is just the spot. The moment you walk in, you’re hit with a wall of stale cigarette smoke that clings to your clothes like a bad decision. The floor was sticky, the tables were greasy, and the air felt like it hadn’t been fresh since the early 90s.
Now, let’s talk about the food—if you can even call it that. Lukewarm, bland, and suspiciously soggy, it tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. I wouldn’t feed it to a stray dog, let alone a paying customer.
We waited over 30 minutes just to place our order, and then even longer for the food to arrive. No updates, no apologies—just silence and attitude. By the time it showed up, we were too annoyed to even be hungry anymore.
And the service? Somehow worse than the food. The staff acted like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. Rude, slow, and completely uninterested. I’ve had more pleasant experiences at the DMV.
To top it all off, the prices are absolutely nightmarish. For what we paid, I expected at least basic decency—but instead we got overpriced garbage served with a side of attitude.
Avoid this place at all costs. There are gas stations with better food, cleaner air, and more...
Read moreDO. NOT. GO. HERE. Listen to the other reviews, absolutely awful service. This place is by far the worst experience of my life. I arrived at Cafe Derbi with a group of 6 of us total, expecting to enjoy an event to see one of our favorite Balkan artists. Upon arrival, the staff was immediately rude to our group which was off putting, but we wanted to enjoy the night so we brushed it off. As the night progressed, we were continuously pushed and shoved with force by the waitress/bartender Tijana to the point of us tripping on our feet multiple times. Asking her to stop led to her verbally harassing me and my friends, yelling at us to get out of her way and threatening to punch us and/or kick us out. She proceeded to demand security to kick me out, which he was also confused as we did nothing wrong. He told me there was nothing he could do as she was the owner’s daughter. Tijana said we could stay as long as us girls (girls isn’t the word she used) stayed out of her way. There was no way we would stay another minute. This is not by any means a small business to support. If you are part of the balkan community and anticipating to attend an event at this place, save your money and go to a...
