I am absolutely hooked on this place. Best ice cream I've had here in Vegas. So good you can really taste the fresh, no bs dairy flavor. I've had the queso, lavender, sweet corn, and strawberry so far and they were all so delicious, and the strawberry really had that fresh and real strawberry tartness and wasn't doused in metric tons of sugar like most places. The queso had little chunks in it with just a tiny bit of saltiness for that little sweet and salty contrast. Also the berry jam they make is so good, paired with the queso there must be crack in it with how addictive it is😂😂 My boyfriend also said their cucumber lime agua is very refreshing and the perfect sweetness. Before you even order they ask if you want to sample anything, starting off the interaction with very generous and friendly customer service. I even heard them ask the other customers they were serving at the same time if they wanted their slushie immediately or put in the freezer so it won't melt, and as someone who has worked in multiple food service positions little attentions to detail like that can make a big difference in order quality but are pretty rare nowadays. Can't recommend them enough. Wish i could put 6 stars because they really deserve it :)
Edit: Their horchata is the best I've ever had, not too sweet so the flavors are really balanced and super refreshing. Mango and cream paleta is also amazing, great contrast between the acidity of the mango chunks...
Read moreAfter flight landed and craving some thing sweet, refreshing or light as true dessert after a quick lunch, we stumbled on this family owned gem twenty something minutes drive from the Las Vegas strip. They make all the products from scratch, desserts ice cream, several amazing flavors and not just popsicles, they had Horchata and mixed juice, fruit concoctions that could act as a light finish to a heavier dessert. We had the best ever mango jamoyadas, worlds best flan & a superb Tres Leche. It’s perhaps easily some of the best ice cream I’ve had, including a new flavor pick “queso”; It was not only the most amazing and unique flavors I’ve sampled anywhere. In fact they even had one called condensed milk flavor among many others that took me back to childhood in a way I never thought possible. Well decorated, very efficient friendly service ever had everything so beautifully display made it all feel like a special occasion. This is no regular ice cream shop and you can’t be in a rush. Already looking forward to planning our next transcontinental visit back, just for the flan. We are definitely coming back again before return flight this week, to make sure we take back home what we...
Read moreWe came here after window shopping, entered and we were greeted by Bob, he offered us samples of the ice-creams immediately, the tiramisu+coffee was my favorite, my wife loved the cotija cheese ice cream.
The customer service provided was impeccable. La Paleta's ice cream are all made in-house, they have fresh fruit, cut daily, none of the frozen stuff you get at other places, they are a family owned small business. The restrooms were clean. They have a little store on the side that sells their merchandise, a little old school arcade machine, that is free to play, and board games for the family and friends.
It's the little things that make a place special, the displays of ice-creams, fruits and toppings are all so visible & colorful, they have a small step stool for kids or short adults to have a full view of the ice-cream bar, it was really neat.
I definitely recommend checking...
