Kolkin Coffee — Restaurant in New Albany

Wanted to try something new rather than Dunkin or Heine brothers, and support a local business.

Boy am I happy I did.

Kolkin seems awesome.

The lady at the drive through was super sweet and helpful.

We got two coffees, a bagel and a muffin for well under 20 bucks. I wish I told them to round it up to $20, but forgot in the moment.

The mocha shake was awesome. Not as sickeningly sweet as the main chains, and my girls Latte was smooth and tasty.

The blueberry muffin was SO GOOD.

And even the everything bagel was great and filling.

The drive is twice as far as heine, but I think this will be our weekend coffee shop for the foreseeable future.

Went to Kolkin for the first time 2 days ago. Just a terrific place. Warm, relaxing, attractive and welcoming environment. Was greeted by a charming and delightful employee who seemed genuinely glad I was there. Coffee was excellent and was served hot. "Hot" is an important issue with me.

An enormous world map was displayed on one wall and blended well with the overall color scheme. Noticeable were several kinds of attention given to eco-friendly was of doing business.

This is an exceptionally fine coffee shop. It is not the closest to my home but I shall "manufacture" reasons to drive in its direction. They hit all of the items on my coffee...

With the closing of Quills, this is without a doubt your best option for GOOD QUALITY coffee in New Albany. They offer high quality beans with correct roasting profiles. They make great espresso based drinks, but I highly recommend their drip coffees. The staff really sets this place apart. The owner is incredibly kind and insightful. I moved away from New Albany and didnt see him for 2 years. Upon returning to Kolkin for the first time, he not only remembered my name, but asked about my family and my degree!
