I ordered pizza from papa John's last night (charlestown road location) at around 10:30 pm. Just something simple, 1 large thin crust with cheese and mushrooms. 🤷♀️. Like I do almost twice every week. It started off great I ordered with my app like always, used $5 of my papa dough. I waited until 11:30 giving them an hour to bring my pizza. Plenty of time, right? WRONG. One hour went by, I called to see where my pizza was. His response was "we got unexpectedly busy and it will be there in 15/20 minutes" I said that's fine. Time went by and I found it being MIDNIGHT (12AM) so I called to see where my pizza was his response again was "it will be there in 15 minutes" 51 more minutes went by. Still no pizza. (Keep in mind my pizza was sitting there for 2 hours after being cooked. Idk who would even want it after that). I went to bed because I got tired of waiting on it. I hear a knock on my door at 12:58 IN THE MORNING. WHEN I HAVE TO BE UP FOR WORK AT 6:30. It was the pizza sitting on my front door step after he had already knocked twice and woke everyone in my house. I dont understand why he would think I would want the pizza after it had set there for 2 hours. Not to mention there wasnt a seal on it. 😂😂 The sticker time was 10:50pm. IT WAS DELIVERED AT 12:51am. The app estimated 34-44 minute wait. I WILL NEVER ALLOW PAPA JOHNS TO HAVE MY BUSINESS AGAIN. WILL FOREVER GO TO ARNIS. It's been nothing but issues with papa John's from day 1 and I have ordered from here for 4 years. 😂😂 It ends today. I called to speak with a "manager" but he couldn't help me besides giving me a free pizza that I dont want. I wouldnt give them the satisfaction of me using their "free pizza coupon". Will be contacting the gm...
Read moreMy most recent order was today (June 22, 2020). This order was a free replacement of my last order, and once again a very unpleasant experience.
This time I decided I will post a review here. Contacting the company changed nothing.
The product quality at this unit has been terrible in recent months. I don't know what they're doing wrong. What I do know is the dough is not baking properly on the bottom.
I took pictures that clearly showed this and submitted them to the company after my last order, informing them it was not the first time I've experienced this from the store recently, but apparently nobody in a position to do anything about it cares. Otherwise, there's no way I inform them of it the first week of May and by the third week of June nothing has been done to resolve the issue.
Sadly, lack of concern about product quality in response to consumer feedback is something I've experienced with this company in the past. There's really something wrong operationally for this type of information to be ignored.
I feel certain if they look at the numbers they will see repeat sales have fallen at this store recently. There's no way customers accustomed to a properly prepared Papa John's product have been satisfied with what's being produced by this store right now.
I've ordered from Papa John's countless times over the years. This was my favorite pizza forever. Now, not only will I not order from this store again anytime soon, my feelings about the product and company both have generally been so tainted It will likely be a long time before I'll ever be a prospective regular...

When it comes to the big names of Pizza (Dominos, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns) This Is the only choice. Now that they have Stuffed crust there is no reason to go anywhere else. This place has the quickest delivery at around 30 minutes and their tracker makes it easy to see where your order is. They do have issues however with forgetting your 2 Liters, its very common they forget. You'll be waiting an additional hour for them to come back with them or you'll be dropped of some warm 2 Liter generic brand like Faygo (I know icp fans praise it, but its still cheaper than name brand) from the gas station.
The pizza not really hot when it arrives but its at least warm. The other menu items are good however the big selling point if you order alot of pizza is their point system. Papa johns by far has the best point system to get $10 Off by earning points. 2-3 orders and you usually already earn it. The only negative to that is by earning that extra $10 it makes you wanna use it for another pizza if you're trying to cut back. Overall not perfect but it is pretty good. I always order "Johns Favorite" which has been renamed "6 Cheese blah blah blah" basically the specialty pizza where the name is just the toppings listed.
I will say however, never order late, always early or the experience will...
