Decent attempt for Italian Restaurant, but needs a little work on execution. Ordered Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, and Peach and Prosciutto pizza. Food was delivered and pizza came over 5 minutes later; the spaghetti and lasagna should have been held in the kitchen until the pizza was ready. There was no fresh Parmesan for the pasta which is a given in an Italian Restaurant. The two pasta dishes tasted good, however, the garlic bread had been placed under the pasta and was very soggy. In fact, so soggy it was not eaten. The pizza had peaches, prosciutto, ricotta cheese with a garlic sauce and balsamic vinegar drizzled over it. Had it not been for the balsamic vinegar, it would have lacked flavor. After the pasta dishes, we asked about the desserts. The server told us the cheesecake was a "bought Cheesecake" which diverted our attention to another dessert item. We decided on splitting the Tiramisu and coffee. The dessert was brought to the table and the coffee arrived 3-4 minutes later. The Tiramisu was good, but it was noted that it seemed to have been frozen because parts of it still were semi frozen. Overall, it was a good experience, but lacked the refinement of an authentic Italian Eatery. The service was very good and the pasta dishes arrived quickly. In fact, too quickly. We had just stated eating the house salads. The atmosphere was casual and very relaxed. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give this experience a 7.0. The food was OK... the service was good, but some refinements need to be made for it to be exceptional. Probably a place I might revisit a couple times a year.

Nico's in New Albany, Mississippi, is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, the warm atmosphere and inviting decor set the stage for a fantastic dining experience. However, what truly made our visit memorable was our incredible server, Khyla. Khyla was a superstar! Her friendly demeanor and attention to detail made us feel so welcomed and cared for. She had excellent recommendations that showed her deep knowledge of the menu, and every suggestion was spot on! Whether it was the perfect appetizer to start with or a dessert that left us absolutely speechless, Khyla truly elevated our meal with her enthusiasm and expertise. The food at Nico's was nothing short of perfection—each dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Combine that with Khyla's exceptional service, and you have a restaurant that’s worth visiting again and again. If you're looking for a place where the food is outstanding and the service is even better, Nico's is the place to be. Thank you, Khyla, for making our experience unforgettable!

I went to dinner with a group of friends during a conference at Blue Mountain College. Of course, coming from out of town, this was my first time experiencing Nico's in New Albany. The wait time was about 15-20 minutes. Granted, our group of ten hadn't made a reservation and it was between 7-8pm on a Saturday when we arrived. The staff was very attentive and focused on getting tables cleaned for our group to eat together. All of our food came out hot and fresh within 30 minutes of ordering. Our appetizers were great. Highly recommend the fried mozzarella or calamari. The pizza was a satisfying highlight around our table. You can't go wrong with the pepperoni, spinach Alfredo, or the buffalo chicken. Personally, what stole the show for me was this Italian Lemon Creme Cake. It was an absolute delight from start to finish. Sweet, moist, and definitely worth the $6. Fair warning, after that first bite, you'll want a second slice to take home!! Nico's is THE place to enjoy an affordable meal with friends and family in New Albany!
