Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in New Albany

The food is usually pretty good here and is hot. However, rarely do they have everything that you order. Today, I ordered the popcorn shrimp and chicken strips. When asked what sauce I wanted, I said "cocktail sauce". She informed me that they didn't have any cocktail sauce right now. That was fine. I paid and fixed my sweet tea that, in my opinion tasted "off". My dad then ordered and went to get some Coke from the fountain, which is about the only thing he will drink. He found the coke was out and was informed they didn't have any in the back either. He went with lemonade, which was very watered down. Soon after, the lady who took my order came out to inform me that they were out of popcorn shrimp over 5 minutes after I had ordered. I settled for butterfly shrimp...it was okay, but the tails are hidden in all the crust and impossible to pick out until you bite down on it. I then went to get a refill of something other than sweet tea, so I went with Dr. Pepper, which also ran out after only a half of cup. Overall, had a very poor experience today. I went through the drive through and ordered, which told me it would be a wait for the chicken. I didn’t mind, paid, pulled up and waited. The young lady who is normally at the drive through brought my order out and I hadn’t gotten my drink so she went back in to get it at which time I checked my order and discovered it was wrong. (Asked for white meat and received a thigh) When she brought my drink out I told her and she graciously went back in to get my correct order. I appreciate her sweet attitude every time I ago and especially today with her smile and “have a blessed day”. I know the food industry has struggled the past few years and I appreciate employees like this young lady, I’m just sorry I don’t have her name…again, “thank you” to this great employee whom I hope will receive some type of recognition for her hard work and dedication to...

We went through the drive through at 9:35 p.m on September 20. A lady asked what we would like and my husband told her to pls give us a min. She proceeded to tell him to order when he was ready. Not even a second goes by and she asks again. He then tells hers to please give him another second because our daughter was trying to figure out what she wanted. Then he tells the employee he is now ready to order. Then she proceeds to get smart with him and tells him “that it is about time” in a rude way.
