I am updating my review following an updated reach out by David Z. He read my review and searched for me on social media in order to call me and make things right. He stated Jimmy Johns is reviewing their packaging options to better protect from this pickle mess from happening further. Regarding the other incident with the employee smoking, he has reassured me, this was addressed and that JJs has strict rules regarding the same. No JJs employee is allowed to smoke in uniform, so, if you see this please do call and report it. As I have stated below, my impression of David has always been positive and he has in my opinion resolved my complaint. I feel the communication gap has been resolved as well, that with me being upset, I probably didnt have the patience to continue the conversation as well. Mainly, I wanted him to take into consideration of how employees behave when he is not there, perhaps some surprise pop ins would support keeping them honest, I know he has to trust his team leads to do the right thing even when no one is looking, however, we have to trust, but also inspect.
Previous post... I have been here numerous of times, more than I would care to share, but the subs are always great, never been a question. However, I have had two instances in which I felt it required feedback to the manager. Whom is typically very nice, unless you have feedback that he does not agree with. Which has been the reason I have been going there less.
One time an employee came in from smoking, put on gloves and went to make my sandwich without washing his hands.
When an employee returns from any break they are supposed to wash their hands. He didnt agree, so I called the health inspector who agreed and sent an inspector to surprise and educate.
Today, I drop 50 dollars on subs for a party and ordered pickles on the side, picked up on time and walked right out, fantastic.
Only when I get home I find my seat is soaked with pickle juice by the way they packaged the food, which in my opinion was all crammed in two bags. Where in the past, ive gotten less and they have packed into a box, now the mngr told me today, oh sorry about that, that doesnt typically happen..and they packed into bags based on if in a box the subs would bend.
Ok..what about packaging pickles so there is no chance pickle juice soaks my car seat?..The point here, your team messed up, yet you want to argue about it instead of...
Read moreOn the 15th DoorDashed, my child lunch. Jimmy Johns, uses their own drivers to deliver. Because of this, you can’t rate the driver or even know their name. I had left my house to work on somethings, when my husband calls and said “he had to pay the driver, as she told my daughter it wasn’t paid for. Now, I have two driveways. The main one was empty, a tween opens the door and she must have thought no parent was home. I checked my bank account, and the order was indeed paid for. I asked for the description of the driver, called the police to have them meet me there. I arrived before the officer and was asking questions to the “manager on duty” who continued to smirk, at me throughout this incident. Saying “It’s was only $20”…That’s not the point. The driver responsible, returned to the store. Told the officer over and over that the receipt said “unpaid”. I went ahead and FaceTimed, my daughter. Right there on the receipt, stapled to the bag, in huge bold letters, was “PAID”. When the officer showed this to her, she said the manager at the time Ivory, had told her otherwise. As had her children in the vehicle and she gave back the money she stole. The officer let her go, but not before giving me Ivory’s phone number. I called and she was so rude, completely disrespectful, cussed at me and before hanging up on me said, that Chetina would not be terminated over this situation. I called back and did leave a snappy, voicemail. I get home at 11:00pm. As I’m carrying 4 heavy bags from work into my house, I see that I’ve accidentally, purse dialed, the manager at 11:02pm and quickly hang up. Not thinking about it, I’m laying in bed and at 11:20 the owner/operator of this location, Tina Reini also known as Tina Corcoran, is blowing my phone up. I'm not sure why it has 4.2 stars, I'm assuming it started off great and was a nice place to eat. I ordered a turkey tom without tomatoes. It didn't have the tomatoes, but it also did not have Mayo on it which it always comes with. There were also onions on the sandwich and this sandwich doesn't even have the option for onions unless you add them. I just don't understand, I do NOT.
