I would like to start off by saying I see a lot of five-star reviews here but my visit was anything but that Our experience at Noli's Vite had more plot twists than an M Night Shyamalan movie. We walked in the front door to find out that they were not taking names for tables, instead you would just wait in line until you reached the hostess booth where there was no hostess. Instead a waiter would "eventually" come along and seat you. We were in a group of four and there were two other groups of four and one group of seven ahead of us in line. Even though there were three empty tables in the interior dining room and two outside all the groups of four had to wait until they set a group of seven which took them approximately 30 min. I'm sure they had their reasons but I can't figure out why they just didn't push two of the empty four tops together to sit the Group of Seven immediately, and that was just the beginning. While waiting in line we watched one waiter walk around the dining area aimlessly carrying an appetizer dropping food off of it along the way which he continued to do during our entire dining experience over and over again. After they set the seven top it still took a good 10 min. for us to be seated which normally wouldn't be a big deal but there were empty tables. After we were finally seated and our waiter took our drink order he disappeared for roughly 20 min. before he took our food order. Our salads came out in a timely manner but were mediocre at best literally a tiny bowl chopped iceberg lettuce with one slice of tomato on top, and I don't know for a fact but I believe the dressing for the salad was bottled as it had that bitter aftertaste that bottled dressings have. After that an hour passes before our food shows up which was delivered one plate at a time as if the waiter couldn't handle at least two. But just then when we thought all hope was lost we were hit with a major plot twist, the food was actually delicious and with the exception of my wife's plate all of the portions exceeded expectation which surprised the heck out of us after witnessing all that we had up to this point. Of course after our food was delivered things went back downhill from there our waiter rarely visited our table as he and the rest of the staff were or at least appeared to be in a very confused state that can be best described as running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I mean these guys were all over the place. It was very obvious that the owner and staff of Noli's Vite have little to no experience in the industry. Just to give you a further glimpse down the rabbit hole at the end of our meal our plates were empty but our waiter came to the table and asked us if we needed any to go boxes LOL there was no food left to put in the to go boxes, he then asks if her ready for the bill which we were, he stood there in a confused state as I stared back at him waiting for him to hand us the bill eventually he says he'll take our card to the register I asked him what the total was as a wanted to know before I handed him our card at which point he states he could not tell us. I literally had to tell him that I was not going to give him my card until I had the total which he had to run off and calculate. Most restaurants come to your table with a statement/receipt that you sign he comes back with the original order ticket that he has now added the prices to. This story could go on but this is a review not a book so will leave it with a quick summary. The staff is not horrible just inexperienced and the food was actually quite delicious. Would I recommend this restaurant I think so as I'm sure with time they will settle in and get a handle on things. Keep in mind at the time of my dining at Noli's Vite had only been open for a short time. With that said they should have hired experienced staff at least for their...
Read moreMy goodness, where to begin? This place is spectacular! My family decided to venture the great big Texas state because although we’ve lived here for more than eight years, we’re not really social people. While deciding on which restaurant to go to, we spotted this restaurant. We decided to give it a try. Now normally, I like to read reviews because I don’t want to spend my money on a place not worth it. Let me tell you, this was an amazing gem.
My family is of Italian origin, so we know authentic Italian. Coming in, we were seated quickly, and the server was so nice and friendly. We got complimentary garlic knots, which made me moan at the taste. It reminded me of my grandmother, when she made them. The smell would make me run straight to the kitchen and try and sneak one before they were put on the table. They were so good, especially with the garlic oil on the side.
Looking on the menu, I decided to get the lasagna. If the garlic knots were so good, surely the lasagna would be equally as amazing. My grandmother would make the lasagna nice and cheesy, sometimes with meat or meatballs as well. I was not disappointed. It tasted like Heaven. All of the flavors tied perfectly together, and it made my tastebuds cry out for more.
I hardly remember what the rest of my family thought, but looking back at it and asking my family what they thought of Noli Vite, they could only utter good reviews. I would definitely go back. It’s not very close to where I live, but it’s worth it to come.
Some may say that it’s a little pricey, but I think it’s the perfect amount. The quality is amazing, and I hardy find good, authentic, Italian in Texas. Thank you so...
Read moreFamily had been talking about this place for awhile so I had to come try it. Came during lunch and ordered the lobster ravioli for $23 (or $22) and a strawberry cheesecake. They gave complementary garlic knots that were okay but I’m not a big garlic knot fan, so I brought them home to my dad. The food arrived within around 15-20 min which is a little fast for me, I tend to notice places that serve you faster tend to not prepare the food when it’s ordered, aka not fresh. But the food definitely tasted fresh (not the cheesecake obv) The raviolis came with a set soup of the chicken and vegetables. The soup was teetering on the line between extremely bland and just right. I actually quite enjoyed the soup, there’s something about it that’s quite warm and comforting. The lobster raviolis only had 4 or 5 almost palm sized raviolis which were yummy but not worth $23. The sauce was great but also teetering on the brink of being too salty to eat. The cheesecake was well, just a cheesecake, nothing too exciting but still good. Our server really didn’t tend to us all that much even though I was one of the 4 other tables there. But the manager was very nice and would help us a lot. I believe that our waitress was probably new based off of observation. But she was still very sweet! Overall I do not believe I will be returning unless invited here by some family or friends. I much rather go to Genaro’s in canyon lake for the price. But by all means this isn’t a bad restaurant at all! I say absolutely give it a try! Personally I just wouldn’t pay the price I did for...
