ThunderCloud Subs — Restaurant in New Braunfels

I am a regular thundercloud customer and have never had an experience like I had today. I left there without my food because I was told to leave after apologizing to the man making my sandwiches because I could tell he was having a bad day and I felt bad because he was making four sandwiches for me. From the very start, he was extremely rude and never even said hello. I said hi with no response and then began telling him what I needed. He acted like he was put out by having to make my food so I kept apologizing and telling him that I was sorry if I was making it too difficult (which I wasn’t, just trying to be nice) but never got a response or acknowledgement when I spoke to him. He would ask me a question while making our food and I would answer him and that made him even more annoyed but still no response. I finally had enough and told the guy behind him that he was being extremely rude and he had no business working with the public. He said “it’s been a long day”. It is 12:30 on a Monday and they didn’t open until 10:30/11am but whatever. I totally understand having a bad day and being busy, as I am cleaning three houses today, but I choose not to be rude to people, especially when it’s my job. The guy making my sandwiches threw his hands up when I told his coworker how rude he was and said that he didn’t have to make my food at all, and he could just turn around and walk out. I told him if that’s what he needed to do, maybe he should because he has no business being in a position to serve the public today acting like that. He then told me that I can leave, how about that. I told him I would gladly leave. They both told me to never come back again and please feel free to write the worst review on google but my intention is that hopefully thundercloud we’ll see how these two specific employees are treating customers and either have a come to Jesus meeting with them or take their jobs away. I have never been treated that way in a restaurant, ever. I have worked waiting tables and numerous other jobs working with the public and this is not how you treat people. Their food has always been amazing and their staff is usually so sweet, but I really hate to see these two guys ruin It for long term customers who truly love it there but won’t ever go back simply because of the attitudes of these two men. Thundercloud has proven time and time again they do not pay attention to online orders or allergy information. Twice my partner has ordered a sandwich requesting a removal of an allergy item and both times we have recieved a contaminated sandwich. This is not a preference, this is people's allergies, life or death situations. Upon calling for a refund, my partner was told by the employee that we had to contact the corporate office ourselves and there was nothing they could do. This is false--we've had a previous refund order that took a day or two to get done, but is doable by the employees in the store. After he asked to speak to a manager, the employee subsequently hung up on him. We were very upset. Calling back we were told by the manager (who answered) is working on our refund but we have yet to receive any money back. I will never be recommending this place as long as these issues are allowed to continue. You could kill somebody by ignoring their allergies. If I could rate you 0 stars or...

We have been here several times now. And we have enjoyed a great sandwich and Smoothie every time. Think we have just about tried every smoothie on the menu and we have our favorites but they were all good. And the various sandwiches have every time been filled with great substance. Meat and cheese are not skimped on here (like other sub places). We have both dined in and take out. Plus internet order was great too. Fresh ingredients. A Great Find for A Sandwich meal. Prices are reasonable too. A Value for your money. (Now With high prices and shrinkflation)...If you want to go out for a bite to eat and spend money on food, go here.
