Vino en Verde — Restaurant in New Braunfels

Walked in today, 05/16/2024@ approximately 5pm, and as first time experiencing this bar. Terrible service, the big blonde bartender didn't greet us. She didn't know anything about wine selections. The menu was outdated as far as the wine list. There was only one other couple at the bar, and a gentleman smoking a cigar on the back porch. She, (the bartender), was so focused on the one couple in there at the bar that she knew. She was quite the chatty-cathy. I'm assuming they we're regulars, (from their conversation). We were even more disappointed that another couple walked in from the pouring rain, while we were playing shuffle board. This well dressed couple walked in and sat at a table by the shuffleboard and we're waiting to be helped. No luck, so we went to the bar, grabbed a menu and handed it over to the couple. Apologized to the couple that the service was terrible. All they wanted was a drink, prior to attending an engagement like ourselves. I told the gentleman that he would probably have to walk up to the bar and order since she was still talking with couple at the bar, and clueless that anyone walked in.This couple were from Fredericksburg, and we're really disappointed in the generation demographic that these people like the bartender. That they could care less about her customers. We were chuckling that this is just the way this generation of people work like. Maybe that's why there wasn't anyone in the bar! Go figure!! TERRIBLE SERVICE! I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS BAR, AS THERE ARE A LOT OF BARS THAT TREAT YOU BETTER THAN THIS ONE! Maybe the owners or management can do some much needed coaching. If I could give ZERO...

Delightful wine bar and great service. Nice selection of wines and a few beers. A great place to hang out with friends. Totally chill band tonight (Fri 4/29/22). They know so many different genres. I'll bet a nickle they'll know your song. Spaces are small but cozy and friendly. I would appreciate it if the auto-aromatics were dialed down a bit. The crowd is mellow. Some into music. Some into each other. Some in the other room. It's all good in both spaces. I'm already looking forward to...

This is by far one of our favorite places to have drinks and socialize with friends. The staff are always friendly, service is prompt, and it's comfortable to hang out inside or out on their patio.
