I ordered a steak and cheese sandwich for pick up via the app, but they gave me a chicken sandwich instead, which I discovered only after returning home when I was about to have dinner. The filling was anyway very stingy. I called them, and it took two calls to get across to them. But the call was cut mid-way. I had to get dressed and drive all the way back to the store. At the store, the man at the counter was defensive, and did not even apologize properly. Instead, he kept saying "I didn't make it," as if the customer can choose their sandwich maker and hold a specific individual accountable. Rather than properly apologize and take responsibility for their mistake, he acted as if I am somehow the problem. When I took a photo of the wrong sandwich they gave me, he aggressively asked me "What are you doing?" as if taking a photo of the sandwich is a problem. He then asked me aggressively what I plan to do with the photo, which is none of his business to begin with. In addition to making a mistake with my sandwich and making me drive all the way back hungry, without properly apologizing, this man was now being aggressive to me for documenting their mistake. While he eventually did prepare the right sandwich for me, this employee demonstrated poor and aggressive behavior when it comes to handling a legitimate customer complaint. Subway should also modify their promotional photos that show a generous filling, spilling out from between the bread roll slices. The sandwich filling is poor and it's not worth what you pay for, at least at this New Britain outlet. I've certainly had better experiences at other locations. Please train your staff to better handle customers with legitimate issues, and make sure they behave more courteously to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreJust ordered from here not 10 minutes ago. While the food here is ok, the service can leave a lot to be desired. I am food critic on Google and my words should not be taken lightly.
I ordered a footlong, and when I was almost finished with the order, I mentioned that I would like to buy a pretzel stick. The worker responded rudely that my request inconveniences the entire process of the business and that it would create some hostility. I realized this, and in an attempt to mitigate conflict, I told the man that I would be fine with the sandwich. He refused, persisting on delivering my order, at the expense of his hostile attitude towards myself.
While finishing my order, he yelled that "if you want a pretzel stick, make sure you tell me when ordering the footlong." While I only realized this after I put in my order, his comment made me very uncomfortable, as well as the other customers in the store. It was not my intention to make this man's day so horrible, but it seems his bad attitude already made that the case. Altogether it probably took him an extra 1:30 minutes to cook the pretzel, which I adamantly refused once I noticed his clear attitude.
Further research leads me to believe that this is not the first time he has reacted this way. I was unable to get his name, but those who regularly shop here know who he is. For those interested he is African American, approx. 5ft, 10in, and has a beard and glasses. He looked like he was about...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible. Wish I could do 0 stars. I mean I said I wanted Italian bread and the worker made it on wheat. I had already paid for my food and realized this mistake when I took the first bite. So I asked her if it was wheat and she said āyes thatās wheatā and didnāt even apologize. So I told her I donāt really like wheat and canāt really eat it and she just said āIām sorryā. So I tried one more bite and I really just couldnāt stomach it. So I went up and told her I couldnāt eat it is there a possibility I can have a remake and she said āIām really sorry but I canāt remake it for you because you already ate itā. Iām sorry what? I took one bite and found out it was wrong. You did nothing. I took one more bite to see if I could tolerate it. And I had no problem giving them the mess up back. I didnāt want free food just the sandwich that I paid for because it was made WRONG. She then proceeded to tell my friends that her MANAGER said they canāt remake food for people. Eventually my friend, who is a manager, explained to the girl that in food service she would have expected her staff to remake it. So the worker listened to her and remade it. I mean, come on. I manage a restaurant too. If the guests food was made wrong then it is our responsibility to fix it. Simply put. I didnāt eat it all and then complain. To add to the issue, she said she had to call the manager and ask him. Where is the...
