The most genuine and caring service Iāve ever received at a restaurant ever. Upon entry we were greeted by all the staff with big smiles. A man came out and greeted me and my two friends with a smile and a handshake for each of us. He told us we were a part of the family and we chatted about the food we ordered for a few minutes. While the two men at the store made most of our food, the super sweet and nice and awesome lady in the front of house offered 6 different samples of sweet flavorful water ice with real fruit for us to try and we tried and loved ALL OF THEM! Then we were offered a small cup of chili each, just to try, and it was some of the best chili Iāve ever tasted. They had went out of their way to take extra care of my friendās steak and cheese because he wanted to remove and add certain items. The staff was willing to accommodate my friend and we were really appreciative. Before they served our food, a steak and cheese and a turkey bacon breakfast sandwich, they double checked with us to make sure it looked all good. They showed us two of the biggest, juiciest, steamiest, cheesiest sandwiches Iāve ever laid my eyes on. The water ice we sampled was so good we got two smalls to take with us. On our way out we sampled the coconut ice and me and my friends all loved it. The amazing lady at the front desk saw how much we loved it and slapped a fat scoop of coconut water ice on top of our ices just because she saw we loved it and she wanted to treat us with care. We ended up eating so much more than we planned because of all the delicious samples. As a last note she heard me and my friend were gonna split one of the ices so she put a āsmallā ice into two separate cups and loaded them up for me and him.
Overall, it was our first time there and it was stupendous. They didnāt just serve us, they took care of us and they were so happy to do it and we left with humongous smiles. Service and hospitality was through the roof and the food is so packed with flavor. Also the turkey bacon tasted exactly like ham. So freaking good. Peace and love thank u...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to stop in on a quick lunch break. For reference it was 1pm on a Thursday and it was packed! We love trying independently owned spots as weāre foodies and we enjoy getting to see others living the dream of having their own restaurant. The owner Eric, was literally one of the most genuine, kind, gracious and enthusiastic people I have ever met. He was attentive and thoughtful. He asked us if weāve been there before, and when he learned that we hadnāt, his whole face lit up! He immediately went to the āWater Iceā and scooped us some really generous samples. We ordered the pretzel bites with beer cheese, and he scooped us some water ices while we waited on the pretzels. We had passion fruit, watermelon and my husband had the banana cream pie which he layered in and topped with vanilla wafers. He also told us that he makes his water ice with filtered alkaline water which I thought was not only a mindful touch, but definitely helped with the flavor and texture. Iāve had Italian ice, but this was like a whole other level delicious. Each flavor was so true to the signature ingredient. The texture was light, it didnāt melt quickly and wasnāt icy. It was just refreshing and phenomenal!! The pretzel bites were made by his son, and they were buttery, salty and had the perfect chewiness. Combined with the beer cheese and whewwww, kinda ruined me for soft pretzels! We will definitely be back many times and I am so happy that New Britain gets to have a rising star like 215 and Mr. Williams and family, doing...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I stopped in for lunch on Saturday after visiting the New Britain Museum of American Art (NBMAA)āa fantastic museum, by the way! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted like old friends, setting a warm and welcoming tone for our visit.
The highlight of our meal was one of the tastiest (and biggest!) chicken sandwiches Iāve ever had. Every bite was flavorful and satisfying. We also treated ourselves to the water ice (similar to Italian ice), which was absolutely delightful. With so many fresh and delicious flavors to choose from, it was hard to pick a favorite, but the passion fruit and coconut stood out as exceptional. The owner generously let us sample several flavors, and honestly, they were all fantastic!
We couldnāt resist taking home a waffle for later, and it didnāt disappoint. Unlike the traditional thin waffles, this one was thicker, packed with flavor, and very satisfying.
While the space has a cozy and comfortable vibe, seating is limited, with just a few stools and a counter. Itās primarily a take-out spot, but the food quality more than makes up for the lack of seating.
What really stood out to us was the ownerās dedication to providing high-quality food and ensuring every customer leaves happy. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the generous portions.
If youāre in the area, this place is a gem. Weāll...
