Pagley's Pasta & More — Restaurant in New Castle

I had a large order of Smelts, which are little breaded fish filets and they are absolutely delicious! Light, tender, flaky, crispy and hot). We were there with a fairly large party celebrating my sister's birthday. We had a large round table, which was immediately set with our drink orders 2 baskets of fresh baked, warm bread with butter (a lot of restaurants these days forgo those simple extras to cut down on price. So, I like to give credit to the old fashioned restaurants, who still believe in giving you warm bread loaves with your dinner. Usually, when I get Smelts, I get them to go and by the time I get them home, they are somewhat warm, not as crispy and -- you know how they just lack that hot "out-of-the-fryer" crunch? So, I was really delighted with the crisp hot "melt in your mouth" Huge serving of golden Fried smelts. 3 big wedges of lemon, Which I always squeeze over top of the entire dish and AA huge serving a cocktail sauce for dipping. Again, I usually have to ask for more cocktail sauce, but not at Pagley's. This service was fantastic and everyone in my group left happy, full, and content. Once again, a 5 star dinner birthday party at Pagley's family, Italian restaurant on the East side...

Ive ordered here on more than one occasion and everyone there's an issue.. most recent I ordered food and the whole order was messed up.. olives on my salad(after asked numerous times, to not) also only gave part of what was listed on the menu for the meal..they mixed alfredo and red sauce for 'vodka sauce'/pink..cant get prices right.. I'll order the same thing and the prices range from normal to absurd.. salads were normally froozen, with a cube of ranch bc that's usually frozen too.. they was supposed to make it right the next day they was open.. when I called back they said they made the order already and through it away.. I asked who called and ordered it they refused to answer and got very rude. Management itz a joke. This has to be one of the worst ran establishments in new castle pa.. I support using local businesses but this place will no longer...

We were on our lunch break and ended up taking our food to go because the server was slow and rude.When we got back to the office we found we had no utensils, no butter for our bread and our side salads were all frozen. When I called and asked to speak with the manager lady never gave me her name but asked mine and proceeded to tell me she would tell the owner about our experience and she was sorry the salads were frozen. She also said we needed to ask for butter and utensils. Knowing that we walked in to eat and then had to change to take out, I just assumed you would send some butter and utensils. However when I made the suggestion that maybe the server was rude because she was overwhelmed being the only one working all 3 dining areas this lady just said she would tell the owners. Well the food is great I will not be back...
