YOYO TEA & SWEETS — Restaurant in New Fairfield

I stopped by on Sunday expecting to come home with a delicious drink and a five-star review to share. Instead, I almost feel like I visited the wrong store. Could my mediocre experience match all these raving online reviews?

To start, I entered this store and smelt what can only be compared to “nail polish.” The store had cute chairs and a vibrant menu, but I got the impression that perhaps, it wasn’t the cleanest.

I ordered a Strawberry Milk Tea and at $5.50, the cost was decent.

I stayed inside while the gentleman prepared my drink and I couldn’t help but noticed that nothing he pulled out of the fridge was wrapped or labeled. He also stirred my drink with a shared, small container on the counter and from what I can tell, the spoons weren’t sanitized, but were only soaking in water.

In terms of the drink, only a small portion of strawberry jelly was added to the bottom of the tea. The drink didn’t look anything like the picture and when I tasted it, the drink tasted almost “chemically”—like a preserve you would find in most junk food.

To be honest, if I’m in the area again, I’ll just save myself the trip and head to PapaTea at Danbury Fair. YoYo might have been a better experience in their “heyday,” but nothing about their shop or product...

This place is absolutely horrible. There's a lady who just keeps wanting you to buy things...Pressures You, touches you, and Sits down with you. Even asks you about your personal life/business! which is incredibly weird. She even called my best friend fat, and it was absolutely horrible. Even started touching her hair and touching my scars which hurt by the way! I do not recommend this place to anyone! The Boba itself is good, but the people in there are incredibly disrespectful, and just so inhumane! I do not recommend this place to anyone, so don't go there! Also, inside the place The decor is absolutely horrible. It looks like a little kid decorated it, And it's so dead in there. No one goes...

YoYo is a welcome edition to the area and if you're a fan of the boba life even more so! Located in the middle of town its easy to find and they offer solid hrs.

The vibe is your typical boba tea shop w/the edition of a brightly light display showcasing an epic variety of macaroons. Those trendy French cookies just make sense here paired w/these slappin teas

Speaking of teas....they have a great assortment from fruit milk teas to slushes and their bubbles arent overly sweet and w/ sugar lvls customizable its diabetic friendly

Def worth a stop in the area better than other...
