Decided at the last minute to get away for the weekend. My wife and 15month old son booked into Harmony Inn. Reservation at Red Geranium was for 19:30, we arrived on time, were seated within 5min, ordered drinks. Our server was polite. We ordered at about 19:50...... 20:45 comes around and we still waiting for our dinner, my wife has been feeding our little guy bread rolls to keep him from losing it. 5min later the manager comes around and says she is sorry for the wait due to a big booking who’s food had just gone out, ours should be done shortly. 1hr15min after ordering, our food comes out!!! It’s after 9pm everyone is leaving and the staff is cleaning up the tables around us, that’s just what we wanted while eating our dinner that we’ve waited so long for, our son at this point isn’t really interested in food because he’s reached his limit and just wants to go to bed.
The lack of communication by the server and manager was to blame, had you communicated that to us we would’ve asked if you could at least try and bring our sons food out, BUT.... The feeling I got, was that the bigger tables get priority over the smaller tables!!! The couple next to us had the same thing happen to them and same song and dance was told to them by the manager!!!
Customer service is the most important part of any business. If you don’t treat all your clients with respect then your reputation will soon pay the price.
You did take our drinks off the bill, 2x summer shandys and 1x soda. I didn’t expect that nor did that make up for your poor service, however I appreciate it, would’ve been better had you just communicated with us instead of ignoring our table due the time it took for our food to come out.
Very disappointing experience, I will certainly not return. Menu is pricey and I have no problem with that, however for me it’s all about service. 14oz Rib eye wasn’t great but also wasn’t bad, for the money spent not worth it in my opinion, the mashed potatoes were cold. The veg that came with it was really good.
All in all it was a very disappointing evening spent in your establishment and I can only hope your GM takes this review seriously and focuses on...

At one point the host ran back into the kitchen and told them to be quiet but about 10 minutes later the noise ramped back up.
I had the prime rib. It was quite tough and not the quality we've come to expect over the years.
My wife had a filet requested medium but received very, very rare to the point of raw. Very obviously cooked way too fast with some charring on the outside. We ended up sending it back TWICE to have it cooked to medium. They kept returning the same filet to us. By this time the reheating reduced the portion size way down and toughened it up. That process of sending and receiving the same filet back and forth twice took roughly 30 minutes total. I didnt want my wife to eat alone so my meal was cold by the time hers was cooked properly. Very unexpected quality of service.
We received one of our two desserts free for the ruined main course for which we were charged full price.
For virtually the entire dinner there was a food tray set up near our table in the center of the dining room with dirty dishes on it. The staff walked around it most of the night.
When we left at 9:30pm on a friday night the entire restaurant was abandoned. No host, no waitstaff, no one. As i walked past the kitchen I couldnt see anyone there either.
We showed ourselves to the door.
This visit really...

Teach your wait staff that it is best to CLEAR dishes before they put the next course out. She almost dropped my food on me. 3rd. Get a BETTER method of communication in your kitchen. For two hours all I could hear is your kitchen director SCREAMING at the staff. It was disastrous. You also need to lubricate that annoying squeaky service door. Also. NEVER sit someone right outside your serving entrance. I believe that the fire marshal would have shut you down today had you been inspected. One of your waitstaff stumbled over one of my guests . Not once, not twice. Three times. 4th. Be mindful of the produce you keep. My guest was served rotten cherry tomatoes and slimy lettuce. Rotten. My food was less than warm. 5th. When dessert comes out, kindly instruct your server to ask if we would like coffee with dessert. It would have gone well with the carrot cake. LASTLY, Please. You advertise yourself as a fine dining establishment. Cramming 3 people on a table edge that will only comfortably fit two is something that I would expect of much lesser restaurants. Your patrons should not have to eat off the corner of the table. I spent close to $400 today for a most unpleasant experience and I quite frankly don’t care to hear any excuses for the deficiencies. I can’t imagine...
