Went to the New Haven location tonight because we've always enjoyed the quality of the food but this trip was one of the worst experiences I've had at any restaurant. When I received my food I noticed a hair on the side of my plate which I removed and was going to overlook because it wasn't touching my food. Next I had onions in my fried potatoes that don't come that way and I didn't ask for and when I sent them back the waitress brought them right back out to me and said the cook checked them and said there were no onions in them but as soon as I moved the first one there were several onions right there as well as throughout the whole serving. They replaced them and when I went to cut a bite from my pork chop I saw another hair underneath the bacon on top of them. At this point I was disgusted and told them I didn't want the pork chops replaced and not only did they not offer any compensation but they tried to still charge me for the sides that I didn't eat. We also paid full price for my girlfriends meal that she didn't want to sit there and eat by herself because I wasn't eating and had to take home in a box and reheat instead of getting to enjoy fresh like she intended to. Read moreWe were seated promptly at 5:30 and our order was taken. We were served salads and appetizers and finished those 5:45 and waited for the entree. Our dinners finally were served 35 minutes later. When we checked out at the registar the cashier asked how everything was and I commented that I thought our dinners took a long time. The cashier began to question whether I thought that 30 minutes was too long to wait since it was Valentines Day and the menu is so large. I told her that I used to work at this restaurant and I think I'm familiar with the workings of the kitchen. She offered to comp our meals but that isn't what I was after. She asked how our experience was and I was trying to tell her. As we sat and waited for our meal, I could see other tables in our section seated after us, ordering and being served. Read moreI grew up eating here and I have always loved the food and service, until recently. I called to place a carry out order, and was asked to hold, but they didn't give me a chance to respond. Six minutes later, I was able to start placing my order. The person taking the order was unfriendly and impatient. I got placed on hold in the middle of placing my order. When I finished, I wasn't given a cost. I was told it would take a half hour and it would be inside. I arrived and paid for the food to the same person I ordered from. After carrying the order out and inspecting it, I noticed I was missing an item. I go back in and the same person asks if I have the receipt! I show her the only receipt I was given which was the credit card receipt, that SHE GAVE ME. She got my missing item and I left. At home, we start to eat and notice a steak is undercooked! I call and am informed, if I bring in the steak, they will cook it longing. Instead of wasting the gas and time, I finished cooking the steak myself.
