Pizza King — Restaurant in New Haven

Well we reluctantly tried this location Again after waiting a 4-5 year's & it was Horrible... After being there for 55 minutes & our pizza Wasn't even in the oven yet we just left. To start off we were the 3rd table in house. There was 3 or 4 employee's so we figured we'd be ok... first the phone didn't work at our table (14 or 15) Ordered the drinks & was told he needed to brew the tea for sweet tea & it would take "a few minutes". Which actually took just under 20 minutes. He didn't even bring the 3 other drinks while we waited. We also ordered bread stix. Those were attempted to be delivered to the wrong table. Then he brought them back to kitchen & another worker said No they are his or just give them to him. So he walks back to the corner & attempted to give them to him which he refused & said he didn't want them... After returning to the kitchen area fir the 3rd time the manager came over & said no they are for that table (pointing atbus)at us. I was wasn't feeling the passes around stix at this point. The manager was running around the kitchen with that deer in the headlights look.... So after Another 40 minutes of only tiny personal pies coming out the over I stood up & looked inside the oven & No large pizzas.... So we asked is our pizza even in the oven yet & couldn't get an answer.... HORRIBLE SERVICE,!!! NEVER...

Ordered 3 pizza's, 3 breadsticks and chef salad. Guy told me 20 minutes. Should have known that was to good to be true. Get there. He says it will be a few minutes as the pizzas are finishing up. No problem. No one was in the dining room, 5 employees back there doing more gabbing then working. When we got there, the manager was outside flapping her jaws with a friend! Pizzas come out. They cut them, put in boxes and let sit on the work table!! PUT THEM ON TOP OF THE OVEN TO KEEP THEM WARM!!!-! And guess what? Hadn't even put the breadsticks thru the oven ! So there sit the pizzas getting pee WARM!

This is the third time I've had issues. Delivered order, guy went to wrong apartment. There's a thing called a phone, CALL! Once again they said half an hour. Get there, all kinds of people waiting for orders backed up the ying-yang! Was there for over an hour!! Said we weren't going back, but we did. No way in ** will I be back. 3rd strike, your out. Will drive across town where it will be right. I even wrote a letter to the corporate office about one of the previous debocals. Not one single response!! You need to straighten...

The positive reviews must be from people who know the employees and receive better service, because my wife and I had a completely different experience when we decided to dine in. We had already given up on delivery, so dining in felt like our last option—big mistake.

When we arrived, the restaurant was practically empty, with only two other families seated. Five employees were working (well, at least two of them were), while the other three wandered around aimlessly. After a few minutes, we decided what we wanted and picked up the phone to place our order. It rang and rang with no response, even though we could clearly see three employees standing around, ignoring the phone.

I hung up, waited a few more minutes, and tried again—same result. The employees continued their conversation as if the phone didn’t exist. By this point, we had been there for about 15 minutes without a single greeting.

How is this place not out of business? We won’t be spending...
