Ok.. so.. I live in Youngsville my dad is in New Iberia. His birthday is today. I asked him where I could take him for birthday lunch. He chose Bon Creole. I had never heard of it. So we went. Upon arrival I thought to myself that this place looks legit. I absolutely love cajun kitchens. Walking in the flavor smells hit me. I could tell… this place was the “real deal”. I ordered the special of the day. (crawfish étouffée) My dad got the catfish basket. We got our cups.. got our drinks. (I got water thank goodness 😉) Went and sat down. The food came out really quick. My dad wanted to go grab some napkins and he accidentally batted my water cup all over the table, me, and the floor. And upon retracting his hand, batted his (just delivered) catfish basket completely onto the floor. Complete disaster to say the least. We went back to the counter and explained the situation. Keep in mind now… this is lunch time and the folks were piling in. They acknowledged our issue and got someone “on it” immediately. Wanda came out and accessed the situation, found out what my dad had ordered, ask me if I needed anything (my lap was soaked), wiped up the table, picked up the spilled food, mopped up the water, and reassured us that my dad’s replacement basket would be out soon. Appreciation isn’t a good enough word to describe how I feel about Wanda. She transformed a horrible situation into an excellent birthday lunch for my dad. I only wish I still carried cash. I wanted to give her a monetary thank you. If management of Bon Creole reads this, please kick a lil extra Wanda’s way. She deserves it.
Oh yeah. The food was pretty damn good...

There was a woman working behind the counter that had blonde hair, who was not paying attention to what I was trying to tell her when I gave her my order and was laughing at a joke another person working made. When I got all the way back home, I noticed the shrimp Poboy, I ordered had lettuce inside of it, I said twice to the lady make sure you don’t put any lettuce and of course she put the order in wrong I also ordered a kids meal for my two year old and I asked her if she would remake the chicken because I’ve already cut it up for her and it’s gonna be cold by the time we get back home she was really rude and said she’s not gonna do it, and then hung up in my face, when I got back to the restaurant to pick up the right order, the same lady was behind the counter and was extremely rude and would not look me in the eye. Then whenever I asked her if I could get my money back for the kids meal because my kid wasn’t going to eat it now that it was too cold, she laughed in my face and shook her head as she said, that’s not my problem I asked to speak to a manager the owner would not even come to the front to speak to me. All of that and the food was horrible. Even if it was good, if you can’t show your face to speak to a customer on something that YOU and YOUR team messed up on, I still would not spend my...

I Asked About The Change And Was Told : The "Meringue" Does Not Hold Up Well In The Louisiana Heat". I Told The Cashier, "As Someone From Southwest Louisiana....This Explanation Didn't Make Sense, As I've Eaten Meringued Bread Pudding Throughout The South.
