I’ve been a long-time Walgreens customer, but my recent experience at this location was extremely frustrating. When I dropped off my prescription, I was told it could be filled in 20 minutes. If the medication was out of stock, why wouldn’t that have been mentioned upfront? I wouldn’t have wasted my time or left without a clear understanding of when I could expect it.
The automated system was unhelpful, and when I finally got through to a pharmacist, I was treated rudely. I was simply trying to ask when the medication might be available and what my options were, and instead of getting answers, I was hung up on. That’s unacceptable.
This isn’t a one-time issue either. Every time my son needs a refill, this location is out of stock, and no one offers a solution or even a timeline. I’m currently unable to drive due to injuries, so making multiple trips just to maybe get a prescription is not a viable option.
I remained calm and respectful during the call, but was met with a poor attitude and no help whatsoever. Walgreens needs to hold their staff to a higher standard of professionalism and start considering the needs of their patients. People rely on you—this level of care is...
Read moreJust want to post my experience with Walgreens pharmacy in New Iberia on Parkview for a prescription that was ready for pick up. Waited at the drive-thru window for 30 minutes with no acknowledgment of my presence, while you watch customer after customer go through the register inside, including several customers that showed up after I was at the window. I called and spoke to the manager, and she said that the drive-through is only for convenience and not for speed. I was polite, but this manager said that she could be helping others if she did not have to answer my phone call. This Walgreens is a reflection of the manager. It is also a reflection of the google scores. As a physician, I will never prescribe or pick up scrips at this pharmacy again. Good luck to others that give it a go, you will probably get lucky if...
Read moreMy mother took my daughter there to get a prescription filled for an ear infection. I gave my mom a current copy of my insurance card. Walgreens told my mother I had no insurance. My mom called me at work and I contacted my insurance to confirm coverage. I called my mother back and told her I was covered. I could hear my mother in the background asking the employee to please check again. My mom politely offered to give her the phone to talk to me. The employee shouted at my mother "I DON'T NEED TO TALK TO HER" and told her to "SIT DOWN". Wasted my mom's time and rude when they were at fault. After I hung up with my mom they miraculously found my...
