The service at Burger King in Groton and New London has suffered recently. My cinnamon bun was cold and the icing was just sitting there on top, like a cold, hard cap. I laughed as I read the carton that warned me that the contents might be very hot. Ha! Prior to that, I wasn't given all that is included with their big breakfast. The sausage was missing. Both of those incidents occurred at the New London restaurant. The Groton franchise once ran out of ice.... Often times their milkshake machine isn't working. Sorry to sound cynical, but could it be that no one wants to clean it?! Often times they can only take cash. They run out of things so frequently that I wonder who is managing the place. Is he or she 14-years-old?! McDonald's isn't perfect, but the two local franchises offer better service, are more accurate, and their staff members seem less interested in laughing and socializing than the folks at Burger King. I can't believe that I just typed a review of Burger King. Does anyone who matters actually read this? I want free meals for life! But then again, I wonder if that would shorten my life. . . And now my screen is all...
Read moreToday I went to this Burger King to pick up food for my friend and I. Usually it is great service, so it might have just been the time of day. I went there around Noon. Even though it was very busy, the employee taking my order should still know how to get an order correct fast and effectively. All I asked for was a Whopper Jr MEAL and THEN another whopper jr but JUST as the sandwich. I admit, I should’ve said Whopper JUNIOR, but at the time I was saying “small” whopper. But still, you would think they would know what I mean when I say a “small” whopper. I ordered the food to go, when I came home and had the food, you could tell the tomatoes were not fully ripe yet. They were VERY green in the middle, my friend also had said the pickles tasted more different and odd more than usual. Usually the service is great, but today it must of been a moody day for them, I get it, they are human too, but you honestly shouldn’t be taking it out on...
Read moreThe drive-thru frequently closes before its stated closing time, there are frequently long waits for food regardless of the number of customers, and it's kind of jarring to deal with people who do not look at or speak to you once you've given your food order. Literally not a word or a glance while paying and then getting the food. I've worked in fast food and I've eaten too much of it since, so this complaint is given in the context of knowing the work doesn't readily inspire an enthusiastic attitude (massive props to the many who do manage to maintain a cheerful and helpful disposition). But c'mon, not a single word? It has happened multiple times and it makes me feel like they really don't want my business. Wendy's is across the street and their folks manage to consistently engage in at least a modicum of human interaction, and usually more. It can be done, BK on Colman! It....
