D J's Campus Kitchen LLC — Restaurant in New London

I made a to-go order today it was 3 eggs scrambled, corned beef hash & a blueberry waffle. upon getting my order and going back to work to try the food i unfortunatley have to say the corned beef hash was burned and crispy, the waffle was dry and the bluberries are dry and preserved not fresh, it was a negative expereince regarding the food. Next i called to have the order corrected and was told they would re-make the order, upon arriving back at DJ's Campus to swap the food out i was rudely approached and spoken by the older woman at the front desk she told me the food was fine when she opened the container to evaluate the food and again in a rude manner i was told that i was wrong and the corned beef hash was fine, the waitress next stuck her fingers in the to go container feeling the corned beef hash to confirm wether or not it was crispy and burnt. The waitress next told me they would not re-make the eggs as there was nothing wrong with the eggs and i was offered for them to microwave the eggs to warm them up. I responded i did not want the eggs after she had her hands touching the corned beef hash sitting directly next to the eggs in the to-go container, the waitress next raised her voice telling me i was not going to get a new order and that if i didnt like it i can leave. i requested a refund from the waitress as they were refusing to make a new order following the cross contaminated food and was disrespected by the woman using profanities and a being told to leave the establishment. If anyone on here is looking for a review of the food trust me when i say there is better breakfast & lunch establishments in New London & The Local Area to enjoy a nice meal and have respectable quality service. I will never be returning to DJ's Campus as they do not deserve my hard earned...

Very reasonable prices for simple comfort breakfast fare, add your own seasoning. Real quick, this is a spot that seems to be extremely police friendly and a favorite for them.

As other reviewers have mentioned, the pancakes are massive and fluffy 😋 and I’d recommend asking for the butter on the side instead of squished into the middle because it’s heavily salted and threw it off a bit for me. I was able to get past it though with syrup and letting it flow away from the rest of the pancakes.

Bacon was on the thinner side and varied between medium to well done, none burnt or anything. Eggs cooked perfectly over medium as ordered.

I didn’t try the french toast, my niece ordered it and says she liked it, ate everything. My daughter had a bite and wasn’t very happy with it. There’s so much variation out there so your mileage may vary.

If you need atmosphere, this is not your vibe - gray, cheap, and “live laugh love” type wall decor. The staff were extremely friendly and apologetic about the wait on a holiday, long waits at every step essentially, but it’s not because they’re slow or anything. They’re working their butts off and when you have their attention they’re like angels looking forward to serving you.

First time dining at DJ’s Campus Kitchen for breakfast, and it was an amazing experience! I ordered the French toast, which was perfectly golden and fluffy, and paired it with a delicious ham and cheese omelette. The omelette was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of cheese. I also tried the hash browns, requesting them extra crispy, and they did not disappoint – they were crunchy and golden brown, just how I like them!

My husband opted for the Italian sausage, scrambled eggs, and grits. He was thoroughly impressed with the quality of the sausage and the creamy texture of the grits. Everything was cooked to perfection, and we were both left feeling satisfied and happy.

To top off our experience, our server was incredibly friendly and attentive. She took the time to explain different items on the menu and offered great recommendations. It really added to the warm and inviting atmosphere of the kitchen.

Overall, I highly recommend DJ’s Campus Kitchen for a delightful breakfast! The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. We can’t wait to return and try more...
