El Patron is a new Mexican Restaurant in New London, WI. (They share a parking lot with Little Ceasars.) The food seems very authentic and the menu offerings reflect that as well. More traditional cuts of beef like tongue and tripas are featured as stand alone items or in dishes like Menudo. Don't worry because they have fajitas and everything else like that readily available too. We enjoyed all of our dishes, but agreed that the shrimp were sizable and quite flavorful. Of course, the margarita was huge, but it was also bright green and a little more tart than usual. It was refreshing for sure. The breakfast menu looked excellent, and they do have coffee too. Not sure if they feature domestic beer, but there are six Mexican choices on the menu. The place is bigger on the inside than it appears from the outside. It is very open, but a little noisy because of that. The service was friendly and our food arrived on time. Can't wait to go back. Hala!

If I had to describe this on one word I would say decent. The food was good, however not great. We tried this for the first time as we where use to going to El Tequila for years and thought we would give it a try. The restaurant is smaller but still nice, with traditional Mexican restaurant atmosphere of booths and such. Chips with red and green salsa. The green was pretty spicey with good flavor the red was decent a little sweeter then normal. The food was decent but had more of a chain style feel and less authentic. The El Pastor burrito was ok with decent flavor but not made the traditional way with the larger chunks of pork. The Carne Asada Burrito was the same style. I ordered cheese sauce to cover the burrito as it was lacking that flavor. Overall like said it was decent, the service by far was the best part. They definitely make sure you are taken care of which is a plus.

I'm from California and I haven't been able to find any good authentic Mexican food since moving to Wisconsin and this is it! This is a nice little Taqueria. The family loves it. The waiter knows our order. You gotta try the mango chamoy margarita. You can also call them for a take out order. Everything is reasonably priced.

The wait staffer that we dealt with was rude and disrespectful. I ordered a burrito and it came with added things that I didn't ask for and weren't included in the menu description. My chicken burrito looked huge and delicious, but contained very little chicken and tasted horrible. The Pepsi that I ordered was a glass of straight-up syrup. Disgusting! My wife ordered a margarita with a Corona, but all she could taste was the beer. Her rice plate had little flavor. The restaurant itself was hot! We were sweating and uncomfortable for our whole meal. Do yourself a favor and check out one of the other local authentic Mexican...
