Let me start by saying I have visited here in the past with rather good experiences. On the last two of three visits, I have left feeling disappointed. Service is attentive but when issues arise, there is no ācustomer is rightā mentality. Management tells you the way it is and does not want to hear your opinion or why there is any possibility that things should have been done differently. On one of these disappointing visits, I ordered the carnitas and only had enough meat to use on one of my tortillas. All of it was used up on that one tortilla even though I believe I had three tortillas served with my meal. When I asked about the small amount of meat I received, I was told, āif you donāt like it donāt come back.ā That was obviously surprising to hear. I have ordered the carnitas before and used all of my tortillas with the pork provided so Iām not sure why I was not taken care of. There was obviously an issue and it was not addressed. Iāve since driven to places farther away that appreciate my business and who acknowledge their mistakes and try to make it right. Apparently El Tequila does not care enough to do...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWent for dinner. I got burrito, which came with rice and beans. Wife got combo plate with taco, tostada, and chile relleno. Food came promptly, and was hot and quite good. The complimentary chips and salsa were also good. Too bad the service was severely lacking. Once server (who barely said a word to us) brought the main dishes, he was GONE. Never came by to ask how the food was, as most servers (who actually care) do; never came by to see if we needed more water; when we were almost finished, never came by to ask if we wanted anything else. When he did see we were finished with our meal, he came by, scooped up our plates, and walked away, without so much as a single word. Very unprofessional and rude. Why is he even working there? Then, when I paid the bill, he short-changed me. I had to remind him how much I had given him! If this guy cares so little about his customers or his job, why doesn't he find a new...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIt was a pretty basic Mexican restaurant with all the usual stuff in place. Start with the getting seated, chips and salsa show up. Drink order is taken and menu presented etc..
I ordered the Fajita mix which had all the good stuff like steak , chicken and shrimp with onions and bell peppers. Where some of the air came out of the tires was the second plate which consisted of the rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream, Gaucamole and Pico de gallo. Several of these items were not as fresh as they could of bean and flavors were off because of this.
All in all a decent meal but the front of the restaurant needs to be renovated to look newer, cleaner and modern. It seemed old dated, cluttered and bad lighting. Reminded me if a bad dive bar from the 80's.
This place looked like a 100 other Mexican restaurants I have eaten in previously and pretty...
