*Update 9/13
I went back to get my "remake" of this order. The "main manager" was working and didn't recall the phone call, however when I explained to her the situation I stated I wasn't sure whom I spoke to last time other than a manager. She informed me it "had to be her". She definitely made me feel uncomfortable as if I was lying or just looking for a free meal. I was ordering from here once a week and spent a good amount of money at this establishment so i didnr like the way she made me feel especially it was their idea to "give them the opportunity to make it right, and remake the order". Didn't care for her initial customer service but the hostess up front was once again great. Also the hostess and I established it wasn't her her I spoke with on the phone it was the other manager whom was out on leave. On to the food. They remade the order and it was great. Steak was great and cooked perfect, veggies were really good and seasoned nicely, and the baked potatoes was also on point. I will continue to patron this restraunt as they redeemed their selves. As it's what you expect from a upscale restaurant.
I hate to leave 2 stars because the hostess is really friendly and nice, as well as possibly the manager Elaine who assisted with to go order each time and was very nice and provides A+ customer service as well. I've gotten food from here 3 times the last month. First time was average nothing to be upset about but also nothing special. The 2nd time I ordered the prime strip steak and it was really good although it was over cooked, I did order medium and it was to go so it wasn't a major problem as it was still a good steak. However, this last time I ordered the same steak, with a loaded baked potato and shrimp cocktail appetizer and I was beyond unsatisfied. The cocktail shrimp is $15 dollars and you get a measly 4 shrimp that are said to be "jumbo" when I asked where the rest of the shrimp were, jokingly. Definitely zero value in the appetizer wouldn't recommend. For the entree, the sour cream and butter weren't included in the to go order, for my baked potato. I also want to say the last time they gave me bread but I'm not certain but there wasn't any this time if they do. The steak had at least n I'm being conservative when I say 6 oz of gristle/fat. Due to it being over done my last order I ordered it medium rare and the steak again was over cooked and closer to medium well. I understand with steaks and to go it stays cooking for awhile but I live less than 10 minutes away so the to go part seems semi irrelevant. For $60 I definitely was not satisfied what so ever this time. When I mentioned the shrimp to the manager she double checked to see if it only came with 4 and was willing to escalate it but I said it's fine and I just know not to order it again. But given the issues with the entree I gave them a call. Again, she was really nice and understanding and she did offer to remake it for me another time, which might save a customer because had I not called I would have never ordered from there again so maybe they can redeem when I go for the "make-do". I'm not writing this to bash the restraunt as it has potential( great sunset viee outside on rooftop)and it was really good last time other than the steak being over done but I had no complaints. It's more a review for improvement and also awareness for future diners on what may or may not have value for you. Everything I got for the $60...
Read moreWanted a great meal and some ambiance - haven't been to Embers since before the pandemic. Was told then that they were expanding and remodeling Embers. I was excited to visit again.
Embers is now downstairs in the old Tiwa buffet location by the hotel. If you have never visited Embers Steakhouse before, the open & visible floor plan would probably seem ok.
But I miss the private setting & the upscale decor & the patio balcony & the big bar as well as the water & fire decor features. The only change I saw to the Tiwa location was that they dimmed the lights & made the salad bar an artwork display. With a much larger dining capacity. It no longer felt "special" or fancy.
The restaurant was slammed busy. All of the staff was working hard. Even with a reservation, it was about a 10 minute wait before the hostess greeted us or even made eye contact. Was glad to have a semi private table and not one right on the main casino/hotel walkway. Was happy to have a pretty table setting.
The Waiter was efficient though very busy. The wait time for everything was right at the edge of reasonable.
Ordered crab cakes for an appetizer but the restaurant, at 6:30p on Weds 01/19/21, was out of everything crab. Had to ask for some bread. Was told that they were out but were "defrosting" some. (I think "baking" some sounds better.) Even nuked it still tasted pretty good.
Our drinks from the bar were delicious.
The entire meal was SCRUMPTIOUS. Shrimp cocktail was big. Caesar Salad dressing was authentic with anchovies. Steaks were perfectly cooked, big, and very very good. (The only negative was the butter Steak Sauce. It was served next to the steak instead of on top but it was frozen solid in the ramekin. Once melted, it was a nice addition.) The sea scallops were AMAZING. Large baked potato. Didn't pay attention to the green veggies. Sorbet dessert was pretty with white chocolate shaped decorations. Bravo to the Chefs & Kitchen staff.
The food was 5 stars. The service was 4 stars. The facility & decor was 3 stars. Overall, it was nice to finally get a delicious meal during this...
Read moreI’ll start with the overall review OUTSTANDING!!!
Writing a food review is really easy, you overlook all the details and effort it takes to make and serve food, I understand how frustrating it can be to not get what was expected so getting at the place with a low review makes sense to many, but why not write one when your experience was exceptional, one of those gem times where you wished you could give more stars. Here is mine about last night; It was a busy night as it was for being Valentines, and a 8:30 reservation, our expectations were very neutral, not high not low, from arrival, a bit chaotic, but were greeted and directed politely, our wait was not long at all, and received very friendly attention from the manager and staff, when seated our waiter was absolutely delightful, I mean it, knowing how busy they were not once did he not smiled or checked on us, or the waiters that supported him, everyone did an outstanding job, now to the fun part the food; Exactly what we asked for, not what we were expecting, I mean wow, Chef Richard, is running that kitchen impeccably, the meat temperature, flavor, the sides were fresh, done to perfection, the wait time surprisingly short. I need to add we had the dessert and I never get desserts I’m not a sweet person, yea I’m going back for ALL OF IT, another OMG the notes of amaranth were so pleasant, the aromas were just perfection it all made sense perfectly balanced. We loved our experience, compliments to the awesome chef and his amazing crew, and to Embers management and staff WE ARE...
