I get my bread here regularly, as many others in the area must - because you have to get there earlier to have more choices. All of the bread I have gotten there has been delish. Another review mentioned the “baguette” being not right - perhaps they got the French bread (it’s in a baguette-like shape but different dough).
I sometimes bake my own bread and to have a spot nearby to get fresh daily baked bread without preservatives - such a treat!
I was recommended the tarts - the baker’s specialty. Omg. Too good. Perfect amount of sweetness (most desserts are WAY too sweet for me). My fav is the raspberry but have tried a few and were all good. I have to refrain from getting one too often, which is unlike me.

Tuna sandwich had no tuna, and bread was the quality of "french" bread from grocery stores. As a french-american, I can assure you this is overpriced, tiny, and horrible quality. Read moreVery disappointed, been going there for years for bread, usually very good. Showed up this morning and bought 6 rolls and a parisian. When I got home and had one of the rolls I found out that it wasn't fresh, tried another one same result. I don't know how old the rolls were but they were frozen and then put on sale as fresh. When I go to a bakery I expect fresh (as in baked that morning) items. At least the parisian was fresh. There is another French bakery on 4th Street, and I've never had problems with old...
