I get my bread here regularly, as many others in the area must - because you have to get there earlier to have more choices. All of the bread I have gotten there has been delish. Another review mentioned the “baguette” being not right - perhaps they got the French bread (it’s in a baguette-like shape but different dough).

I sometimes bake my own bread and to have a spot nearby to get fresh daily baked bread without preservatives - such a treat!

I was recommended the tarts - the baker’s specialty. Omg. Too good. Perfect amount of sweetness (most desserts are WAY too sweet for me). My fav is the raspberry but have tried a few and were all good. I have to refrain from getting one too often, which is unlike me.

Also the store itself is...

Very disappointed, been going there for years for bread, usually very good. Showed up this morning and bought 6 rolls and a parisian. When I got home and had one of the rolls I found out that it wasn't fresh, tried another one same result. I don't know how old the rolls were but they were frozen and then put on sale as fresh. When I go to a bakery I expect fresh (as in baked that morning) items. At least the parisian was fresh. There is another French bakery on 4th Street, and I've never had problems with old...
