Kevin was my server .. he was rude to me from the moment I entered the restaurant, but I didn’t think anything of it because I understand life outside of a job can have an effect. I don’t take these things personally. I ordered a pizza and a beer. I ate the pizza and drank the beer and sat waiting for either a box, a glass of water, an offer for a second beer, or at long last a check. I would have been happy with a check or any of these options to be completely honest.. After watching him do his side work for over 20 minutes, being the literal only person in the restaurant, I approached asking why I was being undeniably ignored. Kevin then told me that he did not appreciate my dog, who is a certified service dog, and that he was ignoring me because I “tried to sneak it in.” What Kevin doesn’t know, is that my service dog is highly trained to detect and notify my potential seizures, therefor I take him everywhere I go. I then opted to show Kevin my dogs service dog identification card. He then accused me of trying to sneak my dog into the restaurant and doubled down that reason he chose not to serve me was because I did not announce that I have a service dog. I then understood that Kevin does not understand discrimination, disability laws, and how the service industry works. Instead of inquiring about my service dog, he chose to intentionally ignore me because I have a service dog. In my 9 years of having and traveling long distances for work with a service dog, I have never felt more uncomfortable and discriminated against than in this instance. Kevin owes all people with disabilities a personal apology for his arrogant ignorance in this instance. Regardless of this being the only pizza place in town, I will not be coming back to this location because I was so uncomfortable. Im writing this review on behalf of any disabled person whose told they need to “announce when walking in” their disability in order to be treated like a valuable customer. Shame on you Kevin, people with disabilities...
Read moreI was a little disturbed by what seemed to be a family dispute involving a child and two employees who appeared to be injured going on just in front of the restaurant when we arrived. One of the employees who was involved was the one preparing our meal. We waited for a while and she came to inform us that our pizza had been burnt and we would need to wait again for another one to be made. She did however offer us something while we waited on the house (cinnamon roll, mozzarella sticks, etc). The pizza when it came and the mozzarella sticks were delicious. You could see the oregano on the sauce and the crusts and everything was very fresh. The original pizza wasnt that burnt and I still would've taken it home had I been offered it rather than it going to waste. We asked for both ranch and marinara with our sticks but only received marinara sauce. The young girl at the front was very friendly and welcoming. She could tell it was our first time and pointed out all the menus we could utilize to choose our order. She checked on us and the other customer several times as we waited for our food and as we enjoyed it. We were quite pleased with her. Just before we left, we found out she was receiving her very first paycheck ever! That impressed us even more that she was that friendly and professional with only a small amount of work experience. Other members of the staff were having conversations near the front or in the back that were loud enough for us to hear during our dining experience that maybe shouldn't have been heard by patrons. The decor was pleasant and they had some kids toys in the corner which I thought was a great idea and had we had the children with us, I'm sure they would've enjoyed that area. Prices were decent. Overall, I might return, but I do feel they have room for...
Read moreVery sad to say that Trail Rider Pizza has gone way downhill since they moved into their new fancy B&M location. I ordered a large supreme and a cheese bread to go. The girl who took my order was fairly rude and not very helpful. The pizza I recieved is completely doughy and waaaay undercooked. Literally raw dough. The cheese bread looks like the pizza cook didn't give one single ** about it. All the cheese was piled in the center on the dough and was also fairly undercooked. Really a lot less than I'd expect for spending $40. Oh, and I wasn't given the sauce for the cheese bread.
Edit: I did reach out to them after reading their reply. Their repeated response was that it was somehow my responsibility to contact them immediately (after I was already at home 19 miles away in Albuquerque mind you) to allow them an opportunity to correct the situation. All they had to do was NOT send out raw food. It's really that simple. So I asked what their remedy would have been, and they listed off a few things, none of which would have given me a decent product in a reasonable time. And at no time id they offer a remedy after I contacted them, saying the remedies would have only been forthcoming if I had "contacted them immediately" AND before posting this honest review.
Their replies were always placing the blame on me. And they continued to claim "love and kindness" in their comments to me, but were in fact always condescending and avoiding taking responsibility for sending...
