Edit: After receiving such a tacky and unprofessional response from the owner this place will be getting one star.
Hey there Randell,
There’s a saying: “Almost nothing good happens after midnight.” Your unhinged response at 1:23 AM confirms that. Deciphering your tirade was a challenge, but lucky for you, I’ve got the time today to address it. Don’t worry—I’ll keep it simple so you don’t look foolish (sarcasm fully intended).
I visited Cibo on Tuesday, November 19th, 2024, and ordered “The Broadway,” substituting iceberg lettuce for arugula. Attached is a screenshot of my card transaction as proof. Let me start by saying the young man who served me was polite and professional—this feedback in no way reflects on him. However, if this is how you address paying customers, I shudder to think how you treat your staff.
Was it wise to mention your competition? Probably not, considering how sensitive your ego appears to be on the matter. But as a paying customer, it’s my point of reference. Let’s address the facts:
Your “new stamped certified Prosciutto di Parma” was not on display. It was however empty.
The drink fridge to the right of the register was barren except for a couple of toppled-over red sports drinks. (Sensing a theme here)
Meanwhile, your competition’s displays are consistently stocked with fresh produce and goods. By contrast, your offering included… frosted animal crackers. Very Italian.
As for your “outstanding praise,” it seems reviews are more reflective of past management than your current ownership. A glance at Yelp and Google confirms things have been going downhill since you took over (screenshots attached). It’s a shame to see the reputation of this business tarnished so thoroughly.
Lastly, your penchant for berating customers instead of taking criticism constructively is concerning. Here’s a question for you: Were you ever loved as a child?
Your defensive, condescending attitude toward paying customers speaks volumes about why your business is struggling. Instead of taking feedback as an opportunity to improve, you lash out and deflect blame. It’s a shame that what could have been a great dining experience is overshadowed by poor management and a lack of professionalism.
A business thrives on respect—for customers, for staff, and for its own standards. If you’re unable to handle constructive criticism without resorting to insults, perhaps it’s time to reconsider your role. Until then, I’ll be taking my business to establishments that understand the basics of customer service—and can manage to stock their shelves.

Really was hoping this would be my new staple after moving into the neighborhood but unfortunately it falls flat. Service was impeccable and the atmosphere was cozy and low key but the food missed the spot for me. Will maybe try something more highly requested like the meatball or the parm but my sandwich was average. For $17 I’d rather go to Francolini’s where you are paying for quality imported meats and cheeses and fresh bread. I might be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of dining at Cibo, and I must say, it was an absolutely enchanting experience from start to finish. From the moment we stepped through the door, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and sophistication. What truly set this restaurant apart, however, was the exceptional hospitality we received, courtesy of the incredible Liz.
Liz is undoubtedly the heart and soul of Cibo's unparalleled service. Her attentiveness and genuine care for each diner's experience were evident in every interaction. She ensured that every detail was taken care of, making our evening not just a meal, but a memorable journey of flavors and emotions.
Now, let's talk about the food. The spaghetti and meatballs were nothing short of a revelation. The pasta was cooked to perfection, tender yet with a delightful bite. The meatballs were succulent, bursting with flavor, and paired exquisitely with a sauce that danced harmoniously on my taste buds. It was truly the best sauce I have ever had the pleasure of savoring.
But that's not all – the chicken parmigiana was an absolute masterpiece. The golden-brown, crispy exterior gave way to tender, juicy chicken, smothered in rich marinara sauce and melted cheese. Each bite was a symphony of textures and tastes that left me speechless.
The ambiance of Cibo is something to behold. The romantic vibe enveloped the entire restaurant, creating an intimate and cozy setting that was perfect for our special evening. Liz, with her impeccable attention to detail, made sure that every element contributed to an unforgettable and romantic experience.
One cannot help but feel at home at Cibo. The combination of exceptional hospitality, delectable cuisine, and an inviting atmosphere makes it a true gem in the culinary world. It's a hidden treasure that deserves far more recognition and praise than it currently receives.
In comparison to other establishments like Fresco and Cafe Roma, Cibo reigns supreme. The depth of flavors, the dedication to perfection, and the magical touch of Liz elevate Cibo to a level that is simply unparalleled.
Cibo is not just a restaurant; it's an embodiment of culinary artistry and heartfelt hospitality. If you're seeking an extraordinary dining experience that transcends expectations, look no further than Cibo. It's an experience that will leave you craving for more and eagerly anticipating...
Read moreWent for a lunch date with my boyfriend. Small table occupied outside and no one seated inside. The floors were obviously not swept and the tables had crumbs on them. We ordered the spaghetti and meatball plate and the chicken parmigiana plate. Both entrees are advertised to come with a salad and bread, but we did not receive ours and didn’t feel like it was worth asking for after seeing the entrees. They were out of chicken cutlets at around noon, just a couple of hours after opening and subbed it with their marinated chicken breasts which was dry and severely under seasoned. The pasta on both dishes was overcooked and what little sauce was on the dish had no flavor and was watery. The spaghetti only came with two lackluster meatballs. The bathroom was not clean and the only soap present was in a communal condiment cup. I would not recommend spending your money here or at the very least not on...
