Went for our shared birthday (Monday night). He had lentil soup, mussles and flan. I had escargot, duck breast and profiteroles. Soup was creamy with bacon, white wine sauce on the mussels and flan was tasty. Escargot were good, the dick is cooked in a red wine sauce. (I'm not a red wine lover, so the veggies that absorbed the wine sauce weren't my favorite.) the profiteroles were still frozen so missed the mark for me, but the vanilla ice cream it cane with was tasty. Street parking. 11 tables, so small inside. The lights could use a dusting. Cash and check only.

We walked several blocks in the cold after the Super Bowl to check this place out because it had great reviews and Google maps said they were open until 10pm. When we walked in just now and there was a couple seated enjoying a meal and we were turned away because the restaurant claims it’s closed. It’s 8:45pm. Google maps says they’re open until 10pm. I understand the restaurant can close early if they want. It’s their prerogative, but considering what the restaurant industry has endured in 2020 and so far this year, I wouldn’t expect them to turn away customers.

This is an absolute hidden gem, that transports you to a small bistro in France. It is small, bustling, and romantic. They have a large wine selection, a fantastic cheese plate, and amazing escargot. It warms my heart to know that there are still restaurants in this city that bring fresh warm flakey bread to the table when you are seated. Portions and prices are reasonable. Cash or check only.

Would NOT recommend (but I give three stars because we’re in a pandemic). My partner and I can here to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Most irritating of all: we called ahead to ask about seating practice, cautious of being safe. We were told, so I thought, that they only try to have three tables. Knowing the size of the place, this sounded ok to me. When we get there the place is packed: I don’t think they could have fit more people.

They are horribly understaffed (or at least on this night). I ordered a martini close to when we arrived. I believe it took 30 minutes to come. And when it did it was on the rocks, which seems to be strange to be the default way to serve a martini. It took another 5-10 minutes for our server to come back around but then they quickly got me another drink.

In general, it took a long time for anything to happen, and we weren’t the only ones experiencing this. Two couples who arrived after us seemed pretty annoyed. One, I believe, decided to leave before their main course arrived. For the other, I think they were seated for 15-20 minutes before they were given menus—they had to ask for them—and then later on I heard them ask twice where their food was.

Our server seemed kind, but overwhelmed.

The food itself was pretty good overall. I got the soup of the day and the Cornish game hen. The vegetables and mashed potatoes with the hen were excellent, the other things...

I have been to this restaurant so many times over the past 10 years and had always loved and recommended it. However, tonight the majority of my meal was absolutely horrendous! I ordered their special appetizer of the night, the crab cakes. The dish consisted of 2 fishy, cold and bland crab cakes literally the size of a quarter on top of a very mediocre salad of greens. I took one bite and could not eat the rest. I let the manager know that I thought the dish was really bad and couldn't eat it. They took it away but I was charged for it. I also ordered the mussels, a dish I've had many times before and had always loved. Tonight's mussels were disgusting. They weren't cleaned properly and many still had the beards attached and broken pieces of shell inside. I was putting a mussel in my mouth and then pulling out half of it to hide on my plate. They tasted mealy and gross. It was completely unappetizing. I didn't say anything about the mussels after already complaining about the bad crabcakes. I was completely disappointed and left thinking that I probably would never return to a restaurant that had always been one of my favorites. The whole experience left a very bad taste...

Wow! No words to explain our experience! We absolutely loved this restaurant. Our first time in New Orleans and we came across this restaurant. We ordered the Napolitana Pizza, Escargots, Mussels, and the Onion Soup. Everything was a 10/10 and no crumbs were left on the plate. You get a huge bowl of yummy mussels. The pizza is absolutely perfect. It is thin and crispy and not too heavy. The complimentary french bread is sooo good as well. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was amazing. Our waiter was so kind, helped us order, and explained all of our questions. While the restaurant is quite small, the vibes are cozy. Make a reservation if you can. The food came out pretty quick: it took about 10-20 minutes. We are very surprised this restaurant is not being praised more because it deserves all the commotion. We will definitely return back when we...
