It’s so rare that I leave a bad review of a restaurant. Even if the food is not my style, I typically will not hate on any place. However, this is the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten. The rice was a weird color (it should be darker) and I suspect that they just have frozen rice which they thaw to order. There was no flavor. The onions were almost uncooked somehow, which further tells me the rice was frozen. The bbq pork was at max in chunks around the size of a pea. I’ve never gotten fried rice with so little meat. For $10, at least have some more meat in it.
The sweet and sour might have been raspberry jelly, it was a weird texture and overly sweet with no sour at all.
The crab Rangoon a were awful. They’re a weird shape, mostly just bread with a tiny bit of cream cheese. The corners were extremely hard and overcooked.
This type of American Chinese food is among the easiest food to cook, coming from someone who worked at a Chinese restaurant for years. If you can’t make this kind of food and make it delicious, the restaurant business might not be the right gig. I have never said that about a restaurant but I’m quite confident now after eating...
Read moreIts one of those cheap hole in the wall chinese restaurants with mediocre food. Its really hit or miss. I went with friends and some of the food was just not good. We got several combos and some appetizers. The spicy chicken was terrible. The Generals Tso's chicken was also not great. The sweet and sour chicken was okay, if you like the over battered chicken bits that resemble golden brown terds with a bowl of bright red overly sweet sauce. The crab rangoon was stale, as if they cooked it hours before and microwaved it before it was served. We also got egg foo yung, which wasnt too bad. The best thing that we ordered was plain white rice, only because its hard to mess that up. The staff was nice and accomodating, but I cant recommend this place due to the quality of the food. This place offers ok value, but there are way too many good places to try...
Read moreAs a young person, living and working on my own, I sincerely appreciate the fact that they're open on major Holidays. Not everyone has a big hoopla every Christmas or Thanksgiving. I'm far from home, and I just want to enjoy a delicious easy meal that I don't have to cook.
You know how many times I've wanted Chinese food for Christmas instead of stuffing when I was a child? I'm a grown man now, and Dragon King made my dreams a reality. They are open, inviting, with great customer service, and even greater food. I always go here, and they're saved in my phone. Take my advice, put down the mixing bowl, head over to them and let them improve your Holiday.
And to the staff, I appreciate you and all the time you dedicate to this restaurant. Truly. Happy...
