Here’s the thing. I walked in Sunday afternoon and I wasn’t even sure if the left or right door was the right entrance. I guessed right, and was…well, right.

Strange though - the room was so dark. I asked them, “Is this the pyramids cafe?” Because yeah I wasn’t sure. Young but ultra chill whippersnapper alllllll the way in the back floats towards me and says “yeah just sit anywhere.”

So I’m sitting in the dark somewhat in the middle of the afternoon with not a soul in this place but this teenage lookin dude. So, family owned I assumed.

I ordered my meal. All the while thinking “how are these guys in business? There’s no one here.”

I ordered my food, sat in this large dark room with no music and fans blowing. They got a lot of carryouts while I waited. Ahhh. Makes sense.

Finally my rice comes out. Gotta say, presentation of the dish itself is great. Rice tastes perfect.

Then my chicken “kebab” comes out. Now, it doesn’t seem like it’s meat that was ever on a skewer, it looks to me like just cut up breast. But it tasted good, and so did the rest of the food. Well-seasoned to my liking.

My friends…you’ve got to do something about the atmosphere. You either need brighter lightbulbs or music and a small sound system to set the tone, or both. Attractive ceiling panels without leak marks are needed. And a sign directing people to come in and choose a seat would be helpful.

Your family’s food is good. But the place itself needs...

My roommate and I love this place. We probably order from here at least once a week! The first time I tried pyramid's I woke up the next day and it was the first thing on my mind. I had it for lunch that day!

They have the best prices in the city and the quality of the ingredients is always amazing! I've never experienced a restaurant that consistently has such bright red, fresh tomatoes in their wraps. Their falafels are some of the best I've had and their labneh tastes fresh and herby. Some of the mediterranean places around here are so greasy but pyramid's food isn't greasy at all! I don't think there's any other restaurant that provides such delicious and nourishing meals for the prices they do. Their lebanese tea is really good as well (:

As a vegetarian, it's hard to find food that's filling, nutritious, and inexpensive in the city so I really appreciate having a place like this around.

The people who work there are always friendly and polite. They do free delivery!! I cannot recommend this place enough (and I do...

Having been sick of the bad service at the overrated Lebanon Cafe, I searched for other options. Babylon cafe didn't cut because even though the food was okay, I could see the laundromat through their glassed wall. Apparently, the two places are owned by the same person. Discovering Pyramid Cafe was a life saver for me. I just need my lamb chops. Wow, the food is good here. The veggies are much fresher than Lebanon's, and the falafels are like Babylon's. The people greet you like you're family if you go there more than once. That's what I call service. The one problem I have with this place is that there is a moldy spot on their ceiling and for some reason, they aren't fixing it. This is why I give 4 stars instead of 5. Having said this, the ambiance might not be the best, but...

Great food at an amazing price. The hummus, baba ghanouj, chicken kabob's we're very good. The falafel was surprisingly delightful. The entree comes with salad hummus and pita bread and I asked for a rice substitution which I got, the basmati rice with saffron was very flavorful. There is no garlic sauce nor Doug drink so I think it's a sort of middle Eastern cusine that does not serve them. I ordered a yogurt salad with cucumber which was very nice though. Loved the place, only downside is the waiter was a bit not in mood to chat but that's ok, he served the food well and thats all that matters.

Stumbled across this point on my way to a other restaurant. Family ran business with an open floor plan. I ordered the Gyro sandwich, dolmas with meat, fried kibby, and the spinach triangles. The gyro, spinach triangles, and dolmas were on point, but the fried kibby stood out the most and wish I had ordered some to go. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you are looking for authentic Mediterranean food.
