Roberts’ Bar — Restaurant in New Orleans

I visited Robert's twice while in town for jazz fest. I got a tip from a local food vendor and I'm glad we stopped in.

Great cheerful service with cheap beer and drinks. Very fun crowd I had several fun conversations with awesome strangers. Nice outdoor patio. They don't serve food so we brought in a pizza. Had so much fun we stopped in again the next night and did the same exact thing.

I love Robert's bar. It is a small homey feeling place. Everyone there is super friendly. The bartenders are good. They make fabulous drinks and the price is right! There is a pool and ping pong table. Good jukebox and televisions both inside and out. It's a really fun, comfortable place to hang out!!! If you want a fancy place, this isn't it. It's a good old fashioned neighborhood bar....

This is by no means a current review. I used to be there almost nightly in the 70's, haven't been back except periodically on visits. But it looks like it always did with some upgrading and it has the same type of clientele and atmosphere. Of course, the 35 cent beers and 50 cent drinks are a thing of the past.
