Alright i had some of the worst mexican food of my life here. Ordered the Super Nachos Grande yesterday and some queso. The order was decently right except it was covered in olives which was not supposed to be on this meal according to the menu. Asked for jalapenos on the side as well and they assumed it meant additional on the side as well as in the meal. (Maybe i should have clarified that). The nachos on top came out burnt and the nachos at the bottom were soggy. By the way I arrived when the store opened. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER, yet the food somehow came out burnt and soggy while somehow being slightly warmer than room temp. The queso i ordered had parmesan in and on top of it which isnt real Parmigiano so this parmesan added a horrible bumpy texture and all i could taste was the low quality parm in my queso. (Queso should be smooth and cheesy, yet it tasted moreso milky and bumpy) I usually eat at the magazine location which is certainly better, but was closer to this location yesterday. Ended up with low quality food and horrible diharrea about 16 hrs later. I would avoid this location i have no clue how its so highly rated. I went in the past once as well and it was also displeasing for the ENTIRE table of people i was with. I have never written a review like this but my god it was not...

First off, if I could have left 0 stars, I would have.

Upon entering this fluorescently illuminated establishment, I was not greeted by a host, however, I was greeted with a terrible attitude and staring, judging eyes from the curly headed girl who calls herself a bartender. She condescendingly told my group and I to have a seat.

Tables are dirty!

The older man who was initially our waiter surely gave the impression he didn’t want to be there! If that’s the case, stay home!

We were then greeted by another lady who I assume was taking over our initial waiter’s task.

It took us 25 minutes to acquire the chips and salsa we had ordered. The chips were stale! At least seal the bag from the day(s) before leftover chip bag before serving!

Still haven’t gotten our waters.

We decided to ask for our check and pay for what we had already ordered and to leave before more terrible service came our way.

So I asked for the check! Paid in cash. Then was chased by the aforementioned curly headed bartender accusing us of not paying! I did the math for her while screaming across the street in front of this establishment which lead to her using not one, but both hands to flip me off!

A full refund of $64.79. Attached is a photo our...

The service my two friends and I just experienced was terrible . I understand it is Mardi Gras but you don't treat costumers like that . From the moment we walked in the bartender was extremely rude . Our table was never cleaned , part of our order was never put in all the way, we never had silverware napkins or waters . Chips were so stale I thought I was going to break my teeth . When we finally did get our food I asked for tajin after waiting 30 min and was told I can't help yall yall are going to have to get someone else to help you . I watched the curly headed girl behind the bar and waitress make faces at each other clearly annoyed and rude . We finally asked for the check we never even ordered entrees because we wanted to leave so bad . We paid with cash a 100$ bill I got a to go cup for my drink at the bar because of course our server walked away and then we were chased down by the curly headed bartender accusing us of not paying ! oh and to top it off she threw both middle fingers up . Let me just tell you what a class act that was . If you want to be treated terribly...

A neighbor of ours told us she worked here so bae didn't to stop by & we decided to give the Juan's flying burritos a try. I remember thinking about the location on Carrollton Avenue but had no idea that this location was open. Anyway we were immediately greeted upon entry & placed our order at the bar. I'm not sure if the lady was a bartender or attendant but she was really nice & answered any question we had about the menu. I think bae got like a margarita with the salt & lemon & a burrito After all isn't that what this place is known for I took a couple of pictures for you. I can't remember the name of the exact burrito I got but it had chicken, shrimp & beef I think🤔 Anyway it was DELICIOUS 😋. The place was pretty busy & since we had decided to take our meal to go we really didn't stay that long. The time that was spent there was great in my opinion; attentive & friendly staff, nice clean decor & environment. I look forward to visiting again Thanks Juan's flying burrito!😊

Everything was plated beautifully and was absolutely delicious. I had the Jerk Shrimp and Mango Salad. I'm honestly getting hungry just thinking about it again. The flavors were very balanced and had a lot of depth. If everyone at my table wasn't insisting their food was the best item on the menu I probably would order that every time I go back. We also got the salsa and guacamole which were both extremely fresh and flavorful. I normally don't like mild salsa but I would order this again. I had a lime margarita and a jalapeño one. Neither was anything special. The atmosphere was very chill and would be perfect for really anything, friends, family, ect. The only reason they aren't getting 5 stars is our server was not great. I was at the uptown location which is fairly new so I have high hopes that aspect will improve as they gain experience.
