Lakeview Burgers and Seafood — Restaurant in New Orleans

We were there as tourists. Although we ended up there spontaneously, we just took an Uber from City Park to a nearest Po Boy place, we got the experience we were looking for :) This is definitely a great place to try New Orleans food. It is small, it has seats inside and outside. It has many Po Boys options as well as Gumbos. No hype around, just local, just delicious and not overpriced.

Moreover, I prefer live conversations to googling. We asked a waiter about an origin of Po boy's name. He didn't remember and asked a guy in the kitchen, the guy didn't remember too. We were seating outside after our delicious meal waiting for an Uber, when a guy, probably the owner, came to us and told us the history of Po Boy! I had an extremely unfortunate incident with Uber eats to where the driver (I think) stole my food. The driver provided no picture on app and told me it’s not her problem that she dropped it off at the wrong house. She was extremely rude and questioned me asking what I was wearing and what color my car was for some reason. Anyway, Lakeview Burgers and Seafood got extremely busy and turned off online orders for 30 min I guess for them to catch up on guests inside. I called the office and the owner answered telling me how sorry she was that all that happened. She was very concerned for the business and how it makes them look even though it was ALL Ubers fault. I order the seafood pirouge assuming it was larger than the seafood plate, being that it is more expensive. It's also listed under family dinner. I have a family of four, one of which is 2. We recieved 2 pieces of fish, 6 shrimp, about a handful of oysters, and entire box of stale fries and another entire box of stale garlic bread. My kids hated the fries and bread.
