The waitress seemed to completely misunderstand my order. Which it was fine, I’ve worked in the food industry and understand things like that happen. But the attitude of the employees completely changed when I addressed it. I ordered vegetable stuffed grape leaves and a kabob. I even pointed to the menu to make sure I was understood. I didn’t get my appetizer and I was served a completely different meal. I took a bite thinking that since I’m not familiar with Lebanese food I misunderstood what I ordered. But after 2 bites I confirmed it didn’t have lamb so it must have been a mistake. I finally received my appetizer though it was beef and not vegetable stuffed grape leaves but I figured it wasn’t a big deal and I did eventually get what I ordered. However when the bill came they expected me to pay for the mistake order as well as my original order. When I asked if it could be taken off I was told “we’ll you ate it didn’t you?” I was confused because they never took the mistake order back and I only had two bites to see if maybe I was at fault and ordered something I wasn’t expecting. They were very rude about the whole thing despite my effort to see it as a usual mistake that happens at restaurants. My friend even tried to remedy the situation by saying the food was great and hoping everyone a good day, which was just met with glares. The food was good but I was very confused why I was treated so poorly over something I didn’t even personally think...

I would love to give this 5 stars because our server, food and atmosphere was amazing and worth a second shot. We arrived with our friend, who lives in NOLA and frequents Lebanon’s. We ordered at 9:20pm and were done eating and paid by 10:00pm. There were 3 other tables still with guests outside. Then a lady came around and told us they were closing now, which was fine. I walked towards the front door and said I needed to go in to use the restroom and a young girl with pink hair said No, I told her I really needed to use the restroom and that we just finished eating and paid. She then told me that I couldn’t use the restroom because they have already cleaned the restrooms. I feel as a customer of any restaurant I should be allowed to use the restroom after eating. I felt disrespected and confused after spending over $75. at this restaurant. I am just a visitor to NOLA and take pride in spending my time and money eating at restaurants that aren’t on the main drag. In all my 60 years, 40 of which I have traveled the world, I have never been treated so shamefully. I do hope that the owners of this restaurant will deal with this situation so it doesn’t become a regular problem with...

Lebanon's Cafe

We had a delightful early lunch with some friends.

We started off with:

Safeiheh (Mini Pizza) Ground lamb & beef mixed with tomatoes & spices baked on pita bread. Served with tzatziki sauce.

Lentil Soup Our homemade vegetarian recipe made with red lentils.

Vegetarian Stuffed Grape Leaves Stuffed with basmati rice & vegetables. Served with tzatziki sauce.

For our entrees:

Vegetarian Plate A palate-pleasing selection of hummus, baba ganuj, tabouleh & falafel. *Served without sides.

Chicken Shawarma Marinated chicken breast hand-sliced off a vertical rotisserie. Served with tzatziki sauce.

Hummus with Lamb and Beef Lamb and beef seasoned with chef-style spices then sauteed with onions, tomatoes, green beans, mushrooms & eggplant.

Such a great early lunch with our friends!

Thanks Lebanon's Cafe!

My group of three had a late dinner here on a Saturday night. Parking was surprisingly easy! The inside of the restaurant is very casual. The A/C was weird, like super cold and blowing all in our faces. It was too much. We did have a bit of a wait for our food, but I thought that it was worth the wait. I ordered the Chicken Shawarma Plate with an “extra” side of tzatziki sauce. For some odd reason, they filled my plate with tzatziki and didn’t give me any hummus. The server was quick to resolve and brought me a “small” plate of hummus. The serving was smaller than what the other guest had on her actual plate, so I do feel like I was cheated in that regard. All of the food was very delicious (chicken, salad and hummus)! The pita bread is never-ending (yay)! I’d definitely return…with the hope that I’ll get my full serving of hummus next time lol.

We go to New Orleans at least once a month for my health appointments at Ochsner’s. I have been very hungry for this, when I saw this food pop up on waiter the night before we got it I just had to try it. My fibromyalgia Dr is Lebanese, so at my appointment we discussed what to get, as it had been a while since eating at a good restaurant. Once I found KC Flaker’s comment I knew this was the place! It said HOME, Louisiana culture! We are from closer to Texas (JENNINGS/IOTA). Although we come every month, I am just getting out to see the beautiful city, I feel like a tourist. The atmosphere, trolley, and food were all so amazing! Y’all won’t be disappointed if y’all choose this place, I promise! I hope y’all enjoy! Just like everything in Louisiana, the portions are huge! You will see what tastes like a meat pie and a boudin ball.
