Madigan's Bar — Restaurant in New Orleans

Last night I arrived at Madigans, and was already a bit drunk. Hanging with friends, trying like an idiot to demonstrate how fast you can spit an ice shard from a straw, the poor bartender got sprayed with it. She was so kind and gracious about everything, while I wanted to crawl into a hole for being so stupid. Point is, this is a place of acceptance. Local haven. Rarely overrun with college students or obnoxious tourists. There's a jukebox. Kitchen is open on the evenings except for Monday. Burgers are delicious. The salads are big. Might be top 3 chicken wings in the city--cooked crispy with sauce on the side. My favourite and the most friendly bartenders in town. Pool table in the back.

Nice wood interior (which is de rigueur of a neighborhood pub). The barmaids are quite friendly for young females - believe you me, some can be downright rude towards us mid-aged broads. These gals are kind and attentive. The music is all across the board- jukebox mostly. Some blasts from the past; some new tunes.
