My grandsons and I visited this location on 12/18/21. We observed a man dining in, which led us to believe the dining room was open for customers to eat inside the restaurant.
We entered and began to place our orders. As the orders were made ready the cashier began allowing the boys to take their food to the tables to consume the meals.
About 15 minutes into our consumption of our lunch, the restaurant manager came to the table and yelled, "get out of my store now"! I inquired of her what was the problem. She replied that the lobby is closed since the Pandemic. (no problem, just post proper notification).
I informed her that we just observed another man eating his entire meal inside as well. I even asked her to give us a few minutes since the 3 boys were hungry, and upset that we couldn't finish our meal there.
Again, she yelled, ' Ma'am get out of my store right now. Of course we dejectedly complied with her command and left the location.
What I didn't understand was, why didn't the cashier/server put our food in bags to go, and tell us the lobby was not accessible to consume our meals on-site?
At all cost the rude and totally unnecessary manner in which we were treated was very embarrassing in front of everyone in the restaurant at that time.
A very nice outing with my grandsons was ruined by an insensitive McDonald's manager at the Canal St. and Broad St. location last Saturday.
The boys are still talking about the incident every day since that happened, they hate McDonald's now.
I will "never, ever enter that place again in life as well.
'That's the result of lack training and customer service techniques which is very prevalent in many businesses that employ young people today. Eventually their businesses suffer because of how customers...
Read moreMy first morning in New Orleans and this was a straight up cultural experience- I was shocked at how utterly demoralized the workers were. It was baffling. Door hours say lobby opens at 6am and app took my order as I walked over. Arrive there to be told it actually opens at 7 (inside there were two people cleaning counters that were already clean)- so i walked to the drive in to get my order cuz I’d already paid and after holding up my phone to the face of a gal that refused to engage verbally she got the manager who looked at the screen and waved me on to the pick up window which was insanely , I’m talking putrid dumpster , dirty on the outside. But they gave me my order. So I go to the tram stop and eat the sandwich. Then upon returning at 705 to get another sandwich and a coffee the gal inside gives me the death stare and nods “no” when I approach the door. The dude who gave me my sandwich at the drive in and was kind of friendly showed me ten fingers as to say “ten more minutes”- 10 minutes passes and then another employee says they aren’t opening. The whole thing was insane! The experience was one of deeply wrought misery that reflects out upon the world and self perpetuates in a closed loop environment and left an indelible impression on me as a white guy from the middle of nowhere California who as a kid, if my dad got drunk and crazy cruel , could go run out into the woods and breathe the free...
Read moreUpdate: 2/26/24. This is easily the single worst experience at any "fast food" establishment ever. This place needs to seriously be re-evaluated as a franchise! McDonalds Corporate you should come and check this place out, and think about revoking this owners franchise. And let them turn it into a drive thru daqauri shop. My order was the simplest you can get. 20 piece nugget, basket of fries, 3 double cheeseburgers (no pickle), a Mcdouble (no onions), 2 large cokes (no ice). No reason I should have been there for an hour, and left with no food. McDonald's rookies could have completed this order in under 7 minutes. I haven't worked at McDonald's in over 20 years, and I Could have done it in 8! The dining area was nice though. Just wish I could have had some food to eat.
I love the arches, but I waited infront of the window to pick my food up for 2 minutes, received half my order and was asked to pull up and wait for my 2 double cheeseburgers that are currently on sale for 2 for 5. I'm cool so I do, I proceed to wait for 11 more minutes, before I realize I'm still waiting for half my order, to wait 6 more. My receipt said 12:29 pm. I was parked waiting until 12:48. The system would lie and say my order was processed and delivered within 8 seconds, but the lie detectors determined that was a lie. I'm like, not mad, I'm just...
