Asked the waitress if the mango juice was made at the restaurant. She skirted around the question and said eventually said yes. She proceed to pour it out of a store-bought bottle and added syrup to it. I guess pouring in a cup and mixing syrup is their definition of “made in house”. Charging almost 5 bucks for that is ridiculous.
The lack of honesty continues as she proceed to ask me if I wanted toast with my omelette and water as if they were complimentary options like most cafes and restaurants. I caught her on the toasts as I asked if they were extra, but said I would like a cup of water and got billed for a bottle of water instead. She explained AFTERWARDS that they don’t offer cup of water.
They did refund me for the water, but I won’t eat where they can’t even be honest about the basic things.
—- Edit:
Now that the restaurant is deciding to make straight up false accusation on a customer, I would recommend anyone that visit to be cautious of anything they say.
However no amount of stories is going to cover up that store bought mango juice bottle and the cup of syrup that was put in the concoction I drank.🤷🏻♀️

Read moreI hardly write reviews but the food and service at Pepperoni's Cafe was so AMAZING I just couldn't help myself!
The mango juice is out of this world (try the the mango mimosas!) and the Nutella crepes (with ice cream inside) were heavenly! I've lived in France and I kid you not...the crepes at Pepperoni's were better than most of the crepes there.
Not only was the food top-notch, but the service was so lovely! Everyone was nice and patient. It was especially refreshing to have that kind of dine-in experience in a post-pandemic era. They made me feel comfortable.
Eating at Pepperoni's is the FIRST thing on my itinerary when I come back to New Orleans. 100/10 would recommend!! If I could give more than 5 stars, I most definitely would!!
Do yourself a favor and stop by! :) You won't regret it and it will be the best part...
Read moreI have been a frequent customer of this cafe, but as of today, I will never set foot in there again. When I arrived today, the gentleman taking my order engaged in small talk. We had a pleasant conversation and then I proceeded to give my order. As I was giving my order customers came in. The older woman who works there, stood up and came over and told me “ Finish your order because I have a line”. She said it in a very rude and degrading way. I immediately canceled my order and determined to never go back there again. I don’t know what was her issue. It was a horrible and jarring experience. I will not forget it. I would advise everyone to stay away from that restaurant. It was perhaps the worst customer service I have ever received. The food is decent, but it certainly does not compensate for being treated...
