McDonald's — Restaurant in New Palestine

Stopped here on our way to do something else and went through the drive thru for its supposed expediency. Ha. Placed our order at 6:43PM and was told they had milkshakes only to find out later they did not. Not a huge deal, We skipped the shake and ordered one double cheeseburger and some fries. Began waiting for the food at pickup window #1 after paying, and noticed it seemed like we'd been there a long time. Suddenly some teens stuck their heads out and asked if we'd ordered the kids meals, while a guy behind them yelled to them that they were for the car before us. Apparently they got their kids meals and our burger. Now the wait was on... Eventually they asked us to pull to pickup window#2 where we sat, wasting our $5+/ gallon gas until 7:20PM. The wait alone was bad enough but when we arrived at the park and unbagged the stuff, our experience got a little worse. Our double cheeseburger was now a single cheeseburger on two bun BOTTOMS! Smashed ones at that with condiments oozing out of the side, two half pieces of cheese and a piece of an onion that came from who knows what. We paid $2.49 for this mess and I can say with certainty that we were not impressed at all. We managed to have a good laugh at the fact we got two bun bottoms and the speculations we had about where the missing bun tops could have been but that did not take care of our hunger and neither did that nasty sandwich because no one here was going to eat that pile of bad service. This particular McDonald's has not had good food or service for some time now and I'm not sure why we even go there - other than that's about all there is in this town. Not sure that's going to be a good enough reason anymore. I don't recommend this place. Not even...

i’ve been meaning to write a review for this restaurant for awhile now. this is by far the worst mcdonald’s i have ever been to. the only reason i still go is because there are not many places to eat in new pal, and typically fast food is supposed to be “fast” and cheap. however, that is not the case here. the service is so bad. i know they have seemed to be struggling with staff the last couple of years but it is actually ridiculous. some of my friends have talked about how they don’t even come to this mcdonald’s anymore because of how slow they are. i get if there’s a rush it’s hard to keep up with times. but even when there’s not, i’m always there waiting for my food for at like 15 minutes. another thing is they don’t properly give you the right portions. every time me and my boyfriend go we always get a basket of fries and sometimes there’s maybe like a handful, other times it will be overflowing. it’s just ridiculous. and another time i recall, we had both ordered larges and they were filled about halfway. the same thing happened with my flurry but i didn’t say anything because i didn’t want to be “one of those people”. also, a few months back i came in and ordered a latte and it wasn’t filled all the way. that was the same day i was watching them make their sandwiches and the lady wasn’t even wearing gloves. there is one really nice guy that works there, he might be a manager, i don’t know, but that doesn’t really help the fact this place is so awful. someone needs to get it straightened out because they’ve been...

I wish I could leave a negative star. Tonight was my final visit to McDonald's in New Palestine. First I was charged for 3 sandwiches instead of 2 which I didn't catch until it was rung on my credit card and I received my receipt. He was going to refund me but sent me on to the next window. The young man at the next window handed me $2.60 in cash for the over ring of $2.59 for the sandwich. I guess I only deserved .01 in return of the tax that was charged. I didn't say anything because of the long line around the building. We were handed out drinks and bag of food. I started to pull away and told my grandson to check the order ~ even after 4 reminders of NO CHEESE on his sandwich guess what he got...CHEESE!! I pulled over to go inside, the doors are locked and dining room apologetically closed. I called the store phone number and only got the fax machine. My grandson went back to the pick up window on foot to tell them about the mistake. They said they would bring it right out to our car. TWENTY MINUTES LATER....a lady comes out with the sandwich, my sandwich and both of our orders of fries are cold and all she had to say is...... "I'm the only one back there!" Then shrugged her shoulders and went back inside. I understand worker shortage. I do not understand reading the order on the screen and not making the product correctly to begin with. And I definitely do not understand a failure to apologize. This is not the first frustrating visit but...
