My wife and I really liked this restaurant. Their food is good. However, as I was battling cancer lately, my co-workers bought me a $50 gift card to eat there. We went to dinner and when we tried to pay, the server told us there was no money on the card. This was obviously a honest mistake by them, but a mistake that could easily be resolved.
One of my co-workers that help pay for this card, brought in the credit card statement that showed the payment for the card. She asked them to look up the purchases for that day and look at the gift card number sold and the gift card that they gave us to see if the card was not the card that it was supposed to be. He refused to look it up and when he searched the purchase history on the card that I was given, it showed that the card was last used 3 weeks before my co-workers even bought it. So obviously it was the wrong card and there was a mix up on their end and we somehow got someone elses "used" card. Even with the obvious proof that the card was purchased and that we were given the incorrect card, the manager told my co-worker that there was nothing he could do.
It's really too bad, because, as I said, my wife and I usually go there at least once a week and we will no longer be spending our money there. As well as many co-workers that paid for the card. So instead of making things right and saying "sorry for the mistake", they would rather lose thousands of dollars of sales in the future.
Seems like a bad business...
Read moreMy wife and I both had eyes a lot bigger then our stomachs. Since this was our first time at Azul's, we wanted to try everything. We both order the choose 3 item combo plate (both of us ordered different things to increase the number or items to try). Big mistake my food came on 2 plates, so much food. I ordered a ground beef burrito and a chicken enchilada, and a chili relleno. It was all good but the it was the most authentic chili relleno I've ever had. A large roasted plablono chili, filled with fluffy cheese filling, and coated in egg whites and deep fried. The whole meal was sauced with a mole red sauce. And it came with beans and fluffy Spanish rice. I know a lot of food. I only ate have of it and was stuffed. My wife's food was simular with the burrito and enchiladas. But her burrito was covered in a white cheese sauce. It was all so good, you can believe the shining reviews. Go for it you...
Read moreI was very disappointed. We have been looking forward to trying out the food here. And since the restaurant had supported the local NR Tiger baseball program by placing a 15 percent off coupon on purchases over $25 on their fundraiser card, we wanted to show our gratitude by ordering out. We looked online, chose what we wanted, called the order in, and went to pick it up. We offered the coupon, only to be told that it was only good on in-store eating. I looked at the coupon again, but no where did it say that. I pointed it out to the cashier. Didn't matter. The second thing that disappointed me was that the price was way more than listed online. Each item was at least $1 more, and a take out charge was added. This was never mentioned at time of orde. Good was only so so. Very...
