Culver’s — Restaurant in New Richmond

I am traumatized. I got off work today and my girlfriend and I went here to get a milkshake before we drove home. I used to love coming here until today. I will not go back to this location ever again. I got a large strawberry shake, and my girlfriend got a vanilla malt. We got our shakes and began to drive home. I took 3 big sips, everything was great. My 4th sip was good too until I felt something very hard in the back of my mouth. The strawberry shakes here have real strawberry. I went to chew the little pieces and felt something hard as a rock. I thought at first that it was a hard strawberry seed or something, I almost swallowed, but something told me to bite again, still hard as a rock. So I stuck my fingers in my mouth to try and pull out whatever it was, and it was a thick piece of plastic that had a sharp edge on it. As soon as a saw it I started hyperventilating and going into a panic attack. I have health anxiety and stuff like this can not happen to me. My girlfriend immediately turned the car around, and drove back to the restaurant, we parked and went right in with both of our shakes and the piece of plastic. I'm still hyperventilating and crying as we walk up to the counter. We ask the cashier if we can see a manager, she got us the manager right away. I don't know what the managers name was, she was a younger lady with goose earrings on. My girlfriend told her that I found plastic in my shake, she had to speak for me because I couldn't talk because I was so freaked out. The manager just responded with "we don't even have plastic like that here" and the cashier then asked us if we wanted a refund and if we wanted it as cash or back on the card, or if we wanted our drinks remade. We said a refund back on the card. No one even asked if we were okay, or if I had cut the inside of my mouth. They just acted as if I put the plastic in my own drink. I don't know if the plastic was in the strawberries or in the ice cream. But I hope they went through it all to make sure there wasn't anymore plastic, because if they didn't then they potentially served a bunch of plastic filled ice cream to a bunch of people today. I'm just very upset that no one was even a least bit concerned that I could have swallowed that plastic and would of sliced the whole inside of my stomach open. This experience has completely ruined restaurant drinks for me, now I will always feel like I need to move my tongue around in my mouth before swallowing my drink, just to make sure that nothing slices my throat on the way down... This is a new, clean store, well staffed with friendly and attentive employees. Please note that the one star is foremost due to NOT making available vital pricing information of menu options online. For there is absolutely no reason or excuse for such. In regards to food quality and taste I would first advise that if possible regarding location and time deffinately go for a couple or few much better options in Hamond, Baldwin, and locally. But if such is not a option and judging by the 2 fish diners I/we have had, one Walleye w/1.00 each extra charge on sides of Curds and Onion rings and then the Cod the 2nd time with the Fry's and Coleslaw and a bun on both. Extra charge on sides not worth it, save the additional 2.00 plus tax charge and go with the slaw and frys which both are good. Fish is ok-good but clearly more on the meh-ok side. Go in if ya can cuz sometimes food will be hoter. Diner Buns are not good at all or maybe could say they are just bla. Which being there is no nutrional value in white processed flour rather such products often tend towards more of a toxic effect for most thus if I may, suggest to "Corporate Culvers" if ya all can't find a much better bun, honestly probably save us all to just forego the diner bun or offer a...

If you want your children to work here don’t. They will cut hours and say they “pay you for what you work” they are deducting bathroom breaks and more. My son worked 3 hours left sick they paid him for 30minutes. DWD has been contacted.
